Abstract

Renewable energies (ER) have become increasingly important at global level, as they allow for self-sustainability of energy and provide several benefits. The Air Force (FA) due to its infrastructures and location, has fundamental characteristics so that the implementation of energetic generation systems, mainly photovoltaic energy (EF), become a reality to be developed not only in the present, but also with great potential for expansion in the future. The present investigation focuses on the study of ER production in the FA and aims to assess the viability of using EF in the Air Force Units n.º11 (BA11) and Air Force Military and Technical Training Center (CFMTFA). For this purpose, it was used inductive reasoning, supported by a qualitative strategy, which was based on the collection and analysis of data, as well as semi-structured interviews with various specialists in the technical, operational and human resources areas. It was possible to conclude that the FA (case study) has technical viability, physical space and human resources for the generation of EF. Considering the economic viability, we can verify that the return of the investment in this equipment can be obtained within a reasonable period. N/A
