Op zoek naar de ideale vervanging voor vlees
Voor de productie van een kilogram vlees is gemiddeld zes kilogram plantaardig eiwit nodig. Een nogal inefficiënte verhouding, in de wetenschap dat de wereldbevolking groeit en daarmee de vraag naar voedsel stijgt. Daarbij wordt het milieu door de productie van vlees extra belast. Reden voor wetenschappers om samen met het bedrijfsleven te zoeken naar de ideale vleesvervanger.
