Gaceta Punto Crítico No. 9 (enero-marzo 2024)/ Newsletter Punto Crítico No.9 (January-March 2024)
------------- Karen Blixen said that "the cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea", but what if we don´t have water? The tangible and intangible value of water makes it a critical element. In this issue, we address some of the many aspects related to water, starting with a note from Angélica Quevedo of the Gonzalo Río Arronte Foundation about the challenges of water management projects and then a note by Valeria, Chávez, Ismael Mariño and Rodolfo Silva about the generation of energy from ocean currents. In the CO2nversing section, we conducted an interview with Dulce Martínez from Sea Sheperd, Mexico, about community actions for the care and management of water. In Yes, yes it is, we have an infographic about curious facts about water, another about childhood and water by Laura Escobar, and another about sargassum by CEMIE-Océano. We close with a list of recommendations to continue addressing the topic.
