"<< Background >>""Positive emotional life for active aging"" Erasmus+ project aims to improve the competences of educators and other adult education staff, first of all, in the project partners' organisations, and secondly, in other organisations and institutions. The project will bring contribution in making well-balanced, healthy and responsible aging process focusing on intercultural and intergenerational cooperation and education.Partners will follow the title of the projects and will create materials for positive emotional life and active aging. Partners already decided that will start from the sharing talents and hobbies of adult learners with the aim to inspire creation of educational materials. Being inspired by others’ talents makes people realize what we’re good at, too. Reaching out and seeing talent in others opens up opportunities and connections while helping define own talent. Project will have focus on inclusion of seniors in social life. As final beneficiaries, they will be involved in local and dissemination activities and will help in testing project materials. Both target groups - educators and adult learners - will be diverse in sense of age, gender, education, social and cultural backgrounds. By this project partners will support inclusion and diversity in education and training. Partners decided that trained educators will be strong support for adult learners, particularly seniors who spent a lot of time in lockdown alone because of COVID-19. Many elderly people suffered not only from loneless and social isolation but also stress and depression. The negative physical, psychological, and social effects are evident. Swift resovery and inclusion of seniors in adult education are important now more than even before. ""Inclusion and Diversity"" are first priority of the Programme. Partners analysed publications about COVID-19 influence and agreed that there is need for action to increase access to technology and implement digital literacy programs in elderly populations. It is absolutely necessary, especially going forward into an increasingly digital future. ""The elderly population has been hit with some of the worst effects of the pandemic, with harsher lockdown measures, and increased risks of mental and physical health problems, and the digital divide has seen that the effects of these measures have not been minimized. There is a definite need for action, both in the short and long-term to minimize the negative effects the digital divide has during this pandemic"" (https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyt.2020.577427/full).World Health Organisation wrote that it is important to create opportunities to foster healthy ageing during the pandemic. Materials with different advices are published on its website https://www.who.int/teams/social-determinants-of-health/demographic-change-and-healthy-ageing/covid-19 and also in social media. Age is clearly the most important factor in predicting the odds of surviving the COVID-19 disease. This is among the most robust consensus among scientists (https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0235590).Partners shared information from their countries and agreed that staying inside, some older people have lost confidence in completing day-to-day activities which were previously completely normal and routine for them. They felt less able to do the things they used to enjoy and had become increasingly dependent on support from others. While young people have moved own lives online, elderly people over the age of 65 who have never used the Internet and as such are unable to online chat with friends or family. Partners told about cases when older people spent days without speaking to anyone and were left feeling unloved, unwanted, and forgotten. There is need of digital education for seniors but it should be complimentary to empowerment activities which motivate to be active and have positive emotional life.<< Objectives >>Project partners from Lithuanina, Estonia, France, Italy and Spain analysed Erasmus+ Programme Guide and agreed that the general objective of the Programme ""to support, through lifelong learning, the educational, professional and personal development of people in education, training"" will be the general objective of this project. Such approach will enrich participants of this project and make it attractive for educators, learners and general public. Partners will upload video and photos about training and other activities on the project Facebook and YouTube that highlight the potency of combining verbal and visual methods in adult education. These materials will be not only about main project topics but also about people, countries and their cultures. Moreover, there will be attractive dissemination activities for all involved in the project, associated partners, other stakeholders and wider audience. Project partners will raise awareness about Europe 2020 strategy and Erasmus+ Programme. The desired impact of the project will go beyond its lifetime and beyond this project partners organisations towards adult educators, adult learners, different stakeholders and wider general audience.<< Results >>Partners will create new educational materials to support educators in their teaching and training process taking into account specifity of the current post-pandemic situation. Partners will created project Teaching and training manual and Web-app. They will be the main tangible project results. New created materials will be a valuable resource for additional education and training in partners and other organisations in adult education and also in other fields of education and training.Manual will consist of good practices and pedagogical materials. There will be chapter for building positive attitude to life, including materials about skills-oriented hobbies - knitting, glass, clay, ceramic, metal and wood works, floristry, ethnic ornaments, chapter about music, songs, dances, art and chapter about different collections. The idea is to share what partners have in own countries, to learn about creativity and cultural diversity in Europe and to transfer ideas and hobbies from one country to other. There will be samples of efficient pedagogical methods for adult education and training, about soft skills and recommendations how to work with seniors.Web-app will be programmed through website functionalities, but works as an app by providing educational materials, psychological tests and interactive content. A software H5P will be used. The interactive content will show scenarios in video, create decisional algorithm and than the user can exposed to problems to be solved. There will be also video and photos about the local and international activities, promotional materials (project logo, leaflet, press realise, information for social media, Facebook page, etc). The important result of this project will be development and improvement of adult educators' competences and creation of new learning opportunities for adult learners - seniors and other people with fewer opportunities. Partners agreed that will involve to the project activities diverse groups of people bridging intercultural, intergenerational and social divide, including the age based digital divide. Creating an environment of inclusive learning and using friendly and relaxing atmosphere will help in the acquisition of competences of adult learners and particularly elderly groups of people. Educators will have training during the project in the field of adult education and as a result, they will be able to use the learning approach in all potentials to strengthen the self-protective competencies. There will be intangible results and outcomes: - new experience of staff members and educators at European level; - intercultural competences for the staff and learners; - acquisition of new ICT skills;- acquisition of new communication, foreign languages and other skills; - long life learning network of partners and other stakeholders involved to the project at local, national and European level; - increased EU project management competencies.Project results will be based on digitalisation of adult education and inproving creativity and talents. Open and innovative education will address this need to develop ICT skills of educators, trainers and other members of educational staff, so they will be able to educate their learners and also exploit the maximum benefits of ICT development, online courses, open and innovative pedagogies. This will support the availability of high-quality learning opportunities for adults.Partners will establish efficient collaboration between different educational institutions on local, national, regional, European and international level and increase the quality of education and training. This will give the opportunity to create an interactive network of educators specialized in the project topics and this will be also one of the important results of this project."
