Having come to the end of exhaustible resources gradually, environmental awareness that develops amongst people, especially the climate change that has been felt all around the world and the emergency action plans that have been prepared by the world’s leading states and the cooperation of them in various climate change summits have led the whole world to the construction of renewable energy sources. The construction of renewable energy facilities has generated a new employment area along with itself and emerged the need of human resources who have knowledge and skills in this field. The construction of facilities in this field has been increasing the renewable energy investments both in public and private sector especially in the last 10 years with the financial support of development agencies as well. As Almış Şentürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School to provide a training that is compatible with the needs of advancing technology and to raise employee in this aspect for the sector is the first aim of our school due to the mission of us. The whole region and city is quite rich in the aspect of renewable energy resources and amongst these, the solar panels has become quite a popular energy tendency amongst the investors and state institutions. As the companies have difficulties to find employees who have knowledge and skills to work in solar panels, we have difficulties to raise students who are to work in this field, either. Along with this, the major purposes that we have for realising our project are:1) Our student does not know the renewable energy facilities well, and our lack of practice opportunities to make our department students gain skills. 2) The fast surge in renewable energy facilities in our country, region, and city with the encouragements of grant and the need of employee who is to work in these facilities. 3) By gaining skills to our students regarding solar facilities, we aim to raise the employment opportunities in SOS facilities or the ones that will be constructed in our city and region in future. 4) Along with the changing technology by raising students who are capable of change and develop themselves, have the new knowledge and skills compatible with the time, to graduate students compatible with the sector and its expectations. 5) To strengthen the occupational profile of our students by providing them to find better and qualified jobs with the new skills they will have. 6) To ensure our students know the EU culture, develop the foreign language and ICT skills with the training opportunity in abroad. 7) To raise our reputation in our region by graduating more qualified students from our school. 8) To develop the management, project conduct aspects of our school with to be established partnerships. 9) By disseminating that our school is active in EU level, attracting the hardworking students and teachers to our school to change the image of ‘’ vocational training student is academically unsuccessful’’ and to contribute the academic success of our school as well. 10) To develop the cooperation aspects of our school at international level 11) To learn the way of skill training in abroad and to implement a similar one at home with SOS ( Solar Energy Systems) companies by holding meetings with education stakeholders and the leaders of business world. To contribute all these aims we cooperated with Solar Energy Panel Firms in Europe from Portogual Braga, Poland- Wroclaw, and Romania- Bucharest with our 24 students to whom accompanying 3 teachers and arranged 3 mobilities. Our participant students were 3rd and 4th grade students of electric electronic technologies department, who were studying a department directly related to the training given. Our students gained skills and knowledge in those companies about topics such as the installation and maintenance of solar panels as well as reaching the targets in the aspect of social, cultural, and linguistic that we had defined with the foreign activities that we organised. With the successful run of these activities : 1) Our students had knowledge and skills about solar panels. 2) They acquired the targeted cultural, language, social and personal gains. 3) their employability rates improved. 4) Our school was active regarding cooperation in international dimension and improved capacity. 5) Improved dialogued was established with solar energy firms both in and out of country. Our internship activities was carried out as business internship as 3 hours in the morning and 3 hour in the afternoon in a day totally 6 hours and continued for 10 working days. English was used during the activities and there wasn’t any problem regarding language because it was based on hands on job rather than theoretical presentation. During the activities a qualified instructor was assigned.
