European Voluntary Service Bridge

Description

uropean Voluntary Service Bridge is an Erasmus+ European Voluntary Service Project. Tokat Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sports is the coordinating and sending organisation, and hosting and sending organisations are from Italia, Poland, Spain and Portugal within the project. The coordinating organisation prepared the project application form to submit to Turkish National Agency. Our main goal to conduct this project is to include our young people in our organisation with fewer opportunities in respect of time and money in international voluntary activities. By this project our young people will come together with other young people from abroad, and this will help them to have the idea of Global citizenship. Within this framework, we plan to send our young volunteers to our partners abroad as EVS volunteers, and enhance their education; that is why we are applying for this project. As a summary, 14 volunteers will be included in short term activities and 12 for long term in our project. Our activities are aiming directly to include volunteers. Non-formal, formal and informal learning styles are combined in the activities, but main focus will be non-formal and experimental learning.Within the project, our activity plan was like;- Fundacja Mobilni Polacy, Poland hosted 2 volunteers for each month; 10 volunteers in total were included. Activities took place on March to August 2017.- ProAtlântico - Associação Juvenil, Portugal hosted 4 volunteers for each 6 months; 8 volunteers in total during the one year starting from April 2017.- Intras, Castilla y León, Spain hosted 2 volunteers for each 6 months; 4 for long term projects. These activities took place on August to January 2018- Eurogems Aps, Italy hosted 2 volunteers for each 2 months; 4 volunteers in total during the four months starting from April 2017.Our main target group was young people with fewer opportunities. In the end of activities these young people with fewer opportunities developed themselves in social and cultural way. Their employability was developed as well as their personal and social skills. Our project creating international mobility and mobility awareness within the young people in short term contributed to youth participation in long term.
