"Politecnico di Bari is a technological university, with about 10,000 students and approximately 600 permanent staff members, including professors and employees. It offers courses in Engineering and Architecture, 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle. The international mobility of students and staff, as well as the international cooperation, is part not only of its institutional tasks, but above all, of its strategic objectives for the modernisation and improvement of all its activities (education, research, technology transfer, cultural and social role, funds raising, governance).The objectives of the Erasmus Mobility KA103 project are therefore the following:- to enable the largest number of students of Politecnico to undertake part of their studies in a foreign university, belonging to a country partecipating in the Erasmus program and to enable students to train in a company / Research Center / foreign university.- to attract the largest number of students from foreign universities.- to increase cooperation with foreign universities through staff mobility, both for teaching and for training.- to carry out the above activities while respecting the founding principles of the Erasmus program of the EU, as described in the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE);- to pursue, in mobility activities, the highest quality, according to the Erasmus Criteria / ECHE.Shortly, to contribute as much as possible to the development and diffusion of a modern European culture, both within our Institution and in the countries and institutions partecipating in the program.The mobilities carried out by Politecnico di Bari, are the following: 164 students in mobility for study, 22 students in mobility fortraineeship, 8 professors in teaching mobility and 1 member of the technical-administrative staff in the training mobility.78 students coming from foreign universities have been hosted at Politecnico di Bari, within the project.The activities carried out within the scope of the project were the following:- information and training of the participants on the objectives of the project and how to participate (information days, individual interviews with the participants);- public calls, to clearly select assignees of mobility grants;- preparation of the participants with regard to the linguistic and inter-cultural aspects;- full academic recognition of the activities of study or training undertaken abroad, with clear rules and efficient procedures;- the release, for incoming students, of appropriate certification of activities (transcript of records), clear, complete, and conforming to the ECTS Guide.The activities firstly involved the staff of the International Relations Office, the coordinators for the mobility and the Delegates of the Rector for the Internationalisation, assisted by all members of the community of Politecnico, both professors and students.The impact of the project was ultimately to a large extent, in terms of ""learning outcomes"" of students, and involvement of the whole institution in mobility. As a matter of fact, the program is considered very important, as well as other similar activities of international cooperation for the modernisation and internationalisation of Politecnico di Bari."
