Description

"<< Objectives >>We want to implement this project because unfortunately the idea of united Europe still does not cover all European countries. Thus, some spacesand areas outside the EU are slightly ""exotic"" for its young citizens, and therefore also slightly less available. What is more, the youth from the other side of the border living outside the EU, due to visa regimes, economic and social differences, unfortunately has difficult contact with their peers from EU countries. Social studies and humanities show that only through interpersonal contacts and direct interactions individuals are able to overcome mutual prejudices and stereotypes. The project has the following objectives:- personal development of young people, development of intercultural competences, overcoming language barriers and acquiring the skills of intercultural cooperation and team work, as well as acquiring the skills of public speaking- to get acquainted with the culture, tradition and history of south-eastern Poland and Transcarpathian Ukraine- familiarization and workshops with the ""oral history"" method allowing to learn about the local micro-history from the perspective of the inhabitants explored as part of the project of the town- to get young people acquainted with the natural and cultural heritage of the Eastern Carpathians in Transcarpathian region- to promote international cooperation and the Erasmus Plus program- to develope creativity and the ability to work with new technologies among young people<< Activities >>The project foresees advanced planning visit and a youth exchange , which will take place on 7 - 16 September 2019 in the city of Użok in Ukraine. Young people from Poland will have two additional days to travel to the resort and return home. The exchange will be attended by representatives, volunteers and beneficiaries of all partner organizations of the project, a total of 24 people. Each partner will play an active role in the implementation of the exchange program, conducting workshops for young people, organizing classes or coordinating specific dissemination activities.<< Impact >>Thanks to the project, the youth will develop new passions and skills, in the future will be more motivated to engage in the social life of their own local communities. By getting to know and mastering the tools of ""oral history"" he will also gain a tool to discover and activate the local identity from their own backgrounds of origin. In addition, the Polish-Ukrainian youth exchange will positively influence the overcoming of the still living mutual prejudices and stereotypes between Poles and Ukrainians. The project will also significantly affect partner organizations, it will be the beginning of further cooperation for the promotion of intercultural dialogue, active lifestyle and the search and maintenance of cultural identity."
