"<< Objectives >>The project ""Employment Heroes"" is a training course that will take place in Bragança from the 11th to 15th of March 2020, involving 24 youth-workers coming from 7 different European countries and backgrounds, 2 trainers from Portugal and 1 from ItalyThe main aim of the project is to work on the capacity building of young people, by reflecting on self-confidence, leadership attitudes, and measures to fight youth unemployment.The objectives of the project are:-To improve the capacities of youth workers with activities based on reflection, analysis, and sharing of experiences; by providing skills and knowledge in the fields of leadership and individual capacity building; by encouraging reflections about the role and competencies of the youth worker; by inspiring the definition of explicit personal objective to improve their work (self-improvement).-To bring the participant to adopt an analytical approach to the skill recognition, which they can apply to themselves, to the associations they work in, and to the youngsters they educate.-To share good practices and competencies about innovative projects, focusing on the training'sthematics (Capacity building, skills recognition, youths empowerment).-To recognize the most important needs youngsters face in the European and national job markets,by analyzing which personal characteristics, skills, and abilities are mostly required for youths.- To provide participants with instruments to find and share with youngsters educational occasions, projects, and exchanges in the European Union.<< Activities >>Participants will be trained on the development of self-confidence, self-awareness, and leadership and how to transmit these skills and knowledge to the young people, whom they are working with.The focus of the training is to stimulate participants to see themselves as ""youth leaders"" able to organize, guide, and manage initiatives in favor of the youth they work with and their localcommunities.Project methodologies will be mainly based on non-formal education methodologies: the trainer will guide participants through a process of self-realization and self-awareness, not limited to the simple transfer of knowledge, but based on the mutual exchange between staff and participants. For instance, the chosen methods for workshops are: fish bowl, pitch, world cafè, SWOT analysis, role-play, SALTO toolbox exercises and booklet.<< Impact >>Given the importance that partner organizations recognize in this approach, high visibility will be given to the activities and results of the project not only within the organizations involved but also in the local communities. Specific activities are thought in order to allow participants to apply what they learned to their every-day experience with youths.The project ""Employment Heroes"" seeks to provide young people with high-quality educational experiences and positive examples, finding leaders able to give value to their qualities and to follow them in their growth."
