EUMPHT - EU MIGRATION POLICY WITHIN HYBRID THREATS

Description

Our Jean Monnet Module sheds light on the EU migration policy through the prism of fighting modern hybrid threats including racism, xenophobia, violence etc. The key objectives are to reveal the EU integration strategy for immigrants to ensure the inclusion and diversity, and to disclose the impact of digitalization, climate changes and coronavirus on immigration trends. The training consists of entrance and final testing, sessions on the EU Integration Strategy for Immigrants, Gender Equality within the EU Migration Policy, EU Ecology of Intercultural Communication, EU Legislation on the Freedom of Movement of People, EU System for Fighting Illegal Immigration, Challenges and Prospects of Labor Migration to the EU. The target group of the project includes Ukrainian and foreign bachelor, master and PhD students studying at lhe State University of Trade and Economics. Participants will acquire skills and knowledge on the toolkit for tackling the modern immigration crisis. Due to the multiplier effect, the medium-term outcomes of our Jean Monnet Module embrace the new vision of the necessity for improving intercultural communication, state measures and social interaction to ensure positive effects of diversity and inclusion in the EU and Ukrainian societies. The foreseen dialogue between students from different countries will guarantee the long-lasting positive effects, such as better understanding and improved cooperation between immigrants and locals. The dissemination plan includes annual conferences embracing students, faculty members and social activists, cooperation with the information portal Comments.ua, using the project website, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. The key indicators include the educative value added as the difference between entering and finishing testing, number of participants and their implemented projects using skills obtained during training sessions, number of visitors and comments at our website, Facebook, and Instagram accounts.
