Eco Habits Matters

Description

<< Objectives >>Green habits are one of the effective ways of addressing the climate crisis, and young people as the main stakeholders who will be consuming the planet's resources in the future should make a step and change the behavior into a more eco one. This should be done by spreading the word and raising awareness on the issue and promoting an eco-friendly lifestyle among young people, at the end of the day it is we humans who cause the damage to our planet via our lifestyle and it is up to us to change it.With this project, we would like to empower participants from 8 countries to change their attitude towards the environment and adopt green habits as well as disseminate green ways of life in their communities via peer learning activities. The objectives of the project:1. equip participants with the competencies and creative tools/methodologies for the promotion of eco-friendly habits in their work and life2. explore digital tools (programs, mob apps and etc) in promoting an eco-friendly lifestyle3. Identify the non-green habits in the youth work process and develop ideas, tips, and hints of changing them into ecofriendly4. share and mix the experience of visual, digital skills, eco-friendly practice and create intellectual visual outcome(s) (booklet, posters, videos etc) for further dissemination at their local communities<< Implementation >>The project will bring together 30 participants aged 16 to 30 from six equally gathered partner and program countries and implemented a Preparatory Visit and Youth Exchange in Georgia. During the 10 working days, participants from various backgrounds will share the best green practices and develop eco-friendly habits necessary for a green lifestyle. Each group will include at least 3 participants with fewer opportunities backgrounds. After the residential exchange event, we participants will run follow-ups - awareness-raising campaigns and disseminate the project outcomes including the brochure of the project, beyond the participants and their organizations.<< Results >>The project will impact participating organizations and young people in a positive way, they will improve their green habit competencies and will contribute to the struggle against climate change. This will end up with improved capacities of organizations and decreased footprint of young people on the environment. Participants will change their behavior and habits and be greener than they were before. The dissemination tools - booklet and online blogs, posters and other resources will be spread around and contribute to the reduction of the CO2 emission within the youth work.
