"From the point of view of the internationalization context of our institution we mention that Monlau has participated since 2000 in different international mobility projects, six of them as promoters, approved and financed by the Spanish Agency Leonardo da Vinci, OAPEE and the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE).The main objectives that have led us to the implementation and development of the Erasmus + International Mobility Projects and in particular the 2015-1-ES01-KA103-014689 ""Lifetime Competecies"" project have been to improve employment opportunities and personal, technical and linguistic skills of our students and, at the same time, boost the competitiveness of the European economy in the world of Tourism accommodation management, Motor vehicles industry and Administration of computer systems and networks, which are part of the areas we teach in Monlau .The project (KA1) 2015-1-ES01-KA103-014689 has focused on offering participants, under equal conditions, the possibility of participating in international internships in English-speaking countries (Malta and England), with emphasis on improving linguistic, social, intercultural skills and their subsequent employability. The 15 participating students with ages between 20-24 years, coming from neighborhoods with low or very low income such as La Verneda, Ciutat Meridiana, Sant Martí de Barcelona situated near our educational center, have participated during the mobility in activities related to their profile. In the case of Tourism Accommodation Management beneficiaries, the selected participants have completed daily tasks scheduled before the mobility by our teachers and the tutors of the host hotels. Activities were related to reception and reservations, protocol and public relations and specific terminology in English. Through this international experience, Tourism students have achieved, among other skills, being professionals with a good command of English (reflected in the level tests carried out before and after the mobility in the OLS platform), improve their skills in organizing tourist accommodation and applying pre-established business policies to achieve the objectives of the different departments involved in the client management and reservations process. With regard to technical profiles, as automotive and IT management, in order to achieve the programmed objectives, the activities were related to vehicle reception, maintenance and repair operations and, respectively, configuration, administration and maintenance of informatic systems. After the conclusion of the project the results of the internship program have been positive both quantitatively and qualitatively, reflected in the online surveys - with a high percentage of satisfactory responses from the participants and also in the materialization of job offers for the participants in the mobility, in the host countries. These results, which go beyond interinstitutional cooperation and skills acquisition during the period of Erasmus + mobility, provide long term quality training, based on the exchange of innovative methods and good practices, thus responding to the European and national market expectations."
