The type of project is Erasmus Learning mobility for students and staff. the objectives are the following:To motivate students and staff to become mobile. To encourage Reykjavik University to create links and enrich the cooperation with other universities within Europe.To allow students to make the most of their university studies and broaden their minds by going abroad on exchange for one or two semesters. To promote exchange of expertise and experience on pedagogical methods. The number of students using the grant was 45 and most and the distribution between schools was rather even. The number of staff and teacher exchange was 46 thereof 25 teachers.We believe that the benefits for the students are that they come out more mature as individuals with good ability to work and communicate in a transnational environment as well as developing a stronger and broader network within Europe and worldwide. The benefits for teachers and staff are that they are more open to new ideas, they become more innovative and ready to develope new ideas in teaching and administration. They also build up stronger ties with colleagues and universities that will lead to new ideas and increased quality.
