“Employability guide to graduates of high school” is a 7 days youth exchange that took place in Ukraine. It involved 7 organizations coming from EU and its neigbouring countries. Each organization nominated 5 youngsters and 1 group leader to participate in the project. This youth exchange addressed the topic relevant to all European countries as it is focused on employment and entering the labor market as well as difficulties and fears that young people face in relation to this process. The project was based on non-formal education, peer learning and intercultural communication using interactive approach which proved the coherent connection to employability and enabled the participants' active participation as well as their involvement and sense of initiative. Together with other groups, they discovered and discussed current unemployment situations in other European countries participating in the project and they talked about the need to find sustainable solutions in order to address the problem in their countries.This youth exchange has been specially worked out in order to understand the positive correlation between involvement in youth organizations & non-formal education and the employment possibilities for young people. It was designed in such a way that it enabled the participants to become more self-confident, to learn their own strengths and weaknesses, to analyze different experiences and situations, to learn from them and to find out more about the importance of soft skills. This project had numerous impacts such as skills and attitudes obtained by the participants which eventually helped them to become more flexible and to get some soft skills, which can be useful while plunging into the labor market.The aim of the youth exchange was to give youth the opportunity to learn and experience different methods of non-formal education in order to empower them and encourage to develop various skills and aptitudes needed in their personal and professional development for increasing their employability chances. The objectives of the youth exchange were the following: - to help young people to develop soft skills and other skills that are basic and necessary for communication; - to equip youngsters with some creative tools needed for self-promotion and self-presentation in the employment market; - to promote non-formal education as an added value to employment; - to promote solidarity, empathy and tolerance and to foster intercultural understanding between people of different origins; - to empower young people to actively participate in youth projects, to volunteer and to pursue development of a self; - to equip youngsters with knowledge and tools about creative thinking, public speaking, decision making and teamwork through non-formal methods of education; - to promote the Youthpass as a tool for the recognition of non-formal competences in Erasmus+ projects.
