Description

The mobility project titled “GER-UZB Staff Mobility Towards Enhancement of Teaching Competence and Professional Development” was carried out during the period from 1st June 2015 until 31st July 2017 in order to implement the requirements set out in the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education as well as the general and specific objectives of the Erasmus+ programme. Staff exchange took place between Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences (HSBHV) and Tashkent State University of Economics (TSUE). Both teachers and employees of the involved universities were given the opportunity to teach at the partner universities or take part in training events. By that the project aimed at supporting staff in the acquisition of teaching competences, required knowledge and skills with a view to improving their personal development. The participating staff also improved their professional development with a view on innovating and improving the quality of teaching and training. The stays abroad contributed to an improvement of the language skills of the staff members and their intercultural awareness. This will have a positive influence on their future encounters with our international guests as well as exchange students. The project also helped raising staff’s awareness and understanding of German and Uzbek cultures and countries as well as gave the opportunity to build networks of international contacts. The project helped increasing the capacities, attractiveness and international dimension of HSBHV and TSUE. During the exchange staff members could also discuss future projects between the universities. A total of six staff members (three for teaching mobility and three for training mobility) took part in the project. Other staff at both universities was involved through meetings with the staff members and teachers who were on exchange.
