The Alaún Center is located in the municipality of Alagón, in the La Ribera Alta del Ebro region. Most of the active population is dedicated to the Services Sector (especially in shops) and in the Industrial Sector (mainly in the manufacture of automobiles and other metal products). In the Services Sector, the municipality of Alagón, being the head of the region, enjoys good job opportunities. In the automotive sector, Alagón is surrounded by companies such as General Motors and Johnson Controls where a good knowledge of foreign languages is essential to access to work in that sector. The latter is one of the main challenges currently facing the Alaún Center: to train students capable of speaking foreign languages and who have transversal competences related to the implementation of skills, personality traits, knowledge and acquired values. Among them, in particular, the management of resources (time, money, materials), interpersonal relationships (teamwork, leadership), information management and systematic understanding. The objectives pursued over the two years have been:1) Exchange of good practices locally and internationally; This project has continued the path towards improving our methodologies and expanding our network of contacts through international mobilities.2) Implement project management methodologiesA lot of emphasis, work and effort has been put into the previous training through meetings, explanations or by providing continuous and detailed information so that they are always informed and calm about it.3) Develop transversal skills; With the aim of acquiring and developing transversal skills necessary to enter the world of work, the project participants had the possibility of living in a foreign country and carrying out work practices in a foreign company.4) Improve language skills; With the aim of improving their language skills, especially in English (but also in Italian), the participants participated in language courses in the country where they will carry out the internship, and will then be able to directly put into practice the knowledge acquired during the period of stay at the Foreign.5) Motivate students and teachers to participate in international mobilitiesThe center has organized as it has done in previous projects and activities to motivate and animate students, families and teachers who participate in the European projects offered by the center and learn about the advantages of international mobility and at the same time good practices from the countries in abroad. For this, the center planned to continue with the European experience in the area of the Erasmus + VET program with a mobility of 8 students and two accompanying teachers. Over the course of two years, the eight student mobilities have been carried out and we have sent 4 accompanying persons. The destination country where the mobilities were carried out was Italy due to its proximity in terms of culture, and because of the similarity that the city of Forlí has with our region (industrial sectors in common). In addition, we must bear in mind that our students are very young, with hardly any work or life experience, so we wanted to offer an experience abroad but that could be affordable. The students who were part of the project are, under the definition of the program, young people with fewer opportunities, especially for geographical reasons among others. For this reason, we wanted to bring Europe and opportunities closer to these young people conditioned by the area in which they reside and show that they are the same as the rest of the Spanish youth. The students carried out a mobility to carry out internships in Italian companies for 32 days. We have verified the acquisition of linguistic competences, the autonomy of the students and the improvement in the Administration sector, which will be the scope of the internships, which has improved considerably and causing that in the coming years, new students to the area, have been encouraged to participate in a program of this caliber. Thanks to this project we have developed autonomy, linguistic capacity, management capacity as well as social, interpersonal and relationship skills in the work environment. In addition, students have achieved greater and better decision-making, problem and conflict resolution as well as living a work experience abroad.
