This year we were considering hosting 5 EVS, but when recruiting, our partners were able to identify only 4 EVS in the end. By mutual agreement and in order not to recruit a young person in haste, we made the choice to stay at 4 EVS. Our 4 EVS arrived in September 2016 and left after 10 months at the Beal end of June 2017. As we were able to indicate this project was done under the coordination of Romans International. The initial objectives were maintained and achieved. As a reminder, the mission proposed to the volunteers consisted first of all in sharing the lives of people with disabilities (Residents) and this in connection with the professionals. They also contributed, through the settlement project, to the Protection and development of the environment (workshops linked to organic farming) and the development of sports, cultural and artistic activities Each EVS was part of a team made up of 4 employees (Educators) Another volunteer (Civic Service), all of whom participated in the regular workshop activities (garden, processing workshop, kitchen), alongside the workshop master, residents and other volunteers, under the responsibility of the employees.This year, the SVE group was composed of: 1 German, 1 English and 2 Austrian, all aged 19 years.In terms of impact, this project has favored the acquisition of:- skills in the field of know-how and know-how. Above all, there are human relations that EVS have created and the social bond- manual and technical skills in workshops- French language skills- knowledge in the field of social, disability and support in a specialized environment.- cultural knowledge through visits, sorites, seminars, ..For residents, and the Beal the impacts were:- cultural and generational openness and richness. Development of the world's image beyond the home and the environment of origin- Look, exchanges on practices, take a step back on his practice, critical observation.The long-term benefits are:- the renewal for 2017/2018 of this welcome project- the renewal for 2 years of our partnership with the sending structures- the renewal of the partnership with RI as project coordinator- the introduction of a new tool for the accompaniment of young people with RI through the setting up of training courses: interculturality, and commitment- pooling of local players with the linking and collaboration between RI, l'Arche (hosting also 5 EVS) and us in order to promote the meeting between EVS on the territory- strengthening of the legibility of EVS projects in the territory.
