Nowoczesne hotelarstwo - zagraniczne praktyki jako krok na drodze do sukcesuzawodowego V

Description

"Project entitled ""Nowoczesne hotelarstwo - zagraniczne praktyki jako krok na drodze do sukcesu zawodowego V"" provided for 30 students of ZSiP to undertake vocational internships in Portugal or Malta. Participants have been chosen from among II and III grade students learning for the professions of hotelier, gastronomic services specialist and renewable energy systems technician. The internship was acknowledged by the school as the obligatory internship period every student has to go through when learning in ZSiP. The internships took place in May 2018. They were preceded by cultural and linguistic courses. The project was the fifth edition of internship projects for our students, and a continuation of an ""Erasmus+"" project currently run by ZSiP.An overarching, long-term goal of the project was to improve students' readiness to undertake jobs related to renewable energy, as well as hotel and gastronomic services. It have been achieved through the attainment of a number of detailed objectives. The first one of these was to provide the students of ZSiP with basic professional experience which they may acquire through vocational internships. Another one was to create the possibility for ZSiP students to apply in practice and verify the knowledge they gain at school. Furthermore, the project aimed at developing competences related to foreign languages and communicating in the multicultural environment. The above-described objectives were strictly connected with students' needs identified by our school, resulting from the situation on the labour market. As a result of their participation in the project, students have developed their professional competences. This facilitated their future transition from education to the labour market. They increased their linguistic, cultural and social skills. For many of them, it constituted the first opportunity to travel abroad on their own, without their parents. It was also a lesson of openness toward other cultures, tolerance and establishing relations in an intercultural environment."
