Youth2019 aims at enhancing the capacity and professionalization of youth workers and organisations working in the field of youth in Europe. The project will give the participants an excellent opportunity to learn from each other, share experiences and best youth work practices. We believe that providing the arena for sharing experiences and mutual learning in a non-formal setting this project will improve the competences of the participants and lead to further networking. Our objective is to increase international co-operation, mobility as well as intercultural understanding through high quality activity program. This is a common projects with different stakeholders in order to further develop youth work in Europe. We organize this project (international seminar and study visit) together with the national event of Finnish youth workers so 30 European participants will join the Youth2019 -conference which gathers 1000 Finnish youth workers 27.-28.3.19 in Turku Finland. There will be a separate English program planned and executed in co-operation with project partners, but also common sessions and plenty of spaces for non-formal and informal learning as well as networking with their Finnish counterparts. We believe that in all levels of youth work there is scope for European dimension and intercultural dialogue This project supports well the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme and this key action as our topics are the key issues of European Youth Policy. We have together with the partners chosen five main topics which are social inclusion, youth work innovations, youth participation and advocacy, youth information and youth research. Social inclusion is a vital issue for all our societies and the well-being of young people, so issues such as radicalization, marginalization, needs of the disadvantaged and youth with lesser opportunities are going to be shared and discussed. Youth participation is one of the key issues in our daily work, and we will look at the different ways this issue has been tackled in all of the countries. With youth work innovations, we share new methods and outstanding examples at youth work. Youth information is developing rapidly all over Europe, and we are well aware that youth information is a prerequisite to many other things in the lives of young people. We will also hear the latest youth research results from Europe and Finland. In addition to improving their individual professional competencies, the project participants will have an overview of the youth work policies and practices in ten European countries and be able to enhance their understanding of different cultural and social diversities. The last day of the activity will be dedicated to evaluation and planning of dissemination activities as well as future cooperation plans. Since all the participants are multipliers they will be able to implement and disseminate the new ideas from the different methods and good practices ito wider audiences after returning to their home countries. So the project outcomes will be disseminated and have impact widely in the European youth work field.
