"<< Objectives >>""Léo Lagrange Centre Est""(France) together with partners ""YFW""(Georgia) initiates a project""Gender Equality in Outdoor Life"", which is based on gender equality, discrimination & socialinclusion thought outdoor education.Thus, with this youth exchange we will engage dialogue between 40 young people aboutgender equality & gender roles in their social environment. We aim to challenge young people with different perceptions on the role of man & woman in modern Europe & in its history.We see outdoor education as a extremely powerful tools for development, especially withininternational communities, it allows to question our values & create a bridge between differentsocial groups forming better mutual understanding, Most of non- formal education methods will bedone in outdoors and we will do few hiking as a big individual and group challenge.We will do directly link it with current situation whereas a lot of women and men refugees had towalk over mountains, cross the sea & borders to reach peace in Europe. We believe that this comparisson will help us to reachbetter results and will to thinking about the current situation.With this approach of combining gender equality topic with outdoor education we aim to:• To identify and discuss common forms of discrimination against women• To foster a gender-sensitive understanding of currently existing societal models & its inherent formsof discrimination• To prove that an intercultural community based on gender equality is possible• To Challenge the perception of the structures within our society that undermine social inclusion orfoster discrimination• To create follow-up initiatives that promote gender equality in the sending communities Overcomingthe stereotypes of different religious• To build a broader understanding of what an discrimination means & to start inter cultural & interreligiousdialogue<< Activities >>Gender Equality in outdoor life project included 2 activities:The youth exchangeParticipants40 young people and youth leaders from 8 countriesEach national groups will be composed of:- 4 participants betweens 18 and 30 years old- 1 Group leader from 18 years oldParticipants with fewer opportunities will be suppported to guaranty them equal access to this project.B1 level of english is required.The activities:--> During the youth exchange, Non formal learning ethods will be used and daily times will be dedicated to discussions,experience sharing and reflections (individual and collective).- Team building activities, trust games and get to know each other activities- Presentation of Erasmus plus program- Hiking and organizing the hike, Olympic Games- Activities and workshops to explore the thematic of gender equality and discuss local realities of the participants.- Exploration and discovery of Pona Eco Village-Thematic evenings (Intercultural, storytelling around bone fire and activities proposed by the participants)- Reflection times- Partnership building activities and presentation of partner organisations - Planning and building dissemination and follow up activities.The Advanced planning visit:Team leaders and project from each national groups and project coordinators will meet during two days in Tbilisi, one month before the youth exchange.The main aim of the APV is to plan the YE clearly, thoroughly and to involve all the partners equally. There are special APV objectives which will help to reach our aim: 1. To clearly divide the roles and responsibilities of the partners and especially leaders; 2. To finalize the programme; 3. To involve equally all the partners in the main youth exchange; 4. To clarify the logistical matters; 5. To discuss the preparations of the participants; 6. To prevent problems before the youth exchange; << Impact >>The participants will expand their personal social network and increase their opportunities on different levels.Participants will developp their social skills and gender equality sensitive behavior.They grow self understanding and be able to have a more critical look on their individual behavior depending on different context.They will strenghen their ability to build empathy, listen an give space to others.Feeling of Europeen citzenship will increase for the participants as well as for people reached by the project and therefore will be encouraged to take part in further Erasmus + or other european programs and to be active citizens.Through peer to peer actions, participants will encourage other youngsters to actively engage on the topic of gender equality.participants, and particularly group leaders, will develop their management and leadership skills and will strongly develop their cooperations skills. They will be able to use those skills on many aspects of their everyday lifes an during futur/other projects.Participating orgnanisations will strenghen their partnership and trust and contribute in achieving others aims and objectives by sharing new skills and good practices.Thematic of gender equality will be more visible on an international level thanks to the different media and event organized during and after this project.This will contribute in reducing gender barriers and encourage partnership and personal exchanges at an international level on the topic of gender equality."
