Under the Erasmus+ Project No. 2017-1-LT01-KA107-035091 below listed activities were implemented:student exchange for studies;teaching and training visits of incoming and outgoing staff;integration activities (including linguistic preaparation) for incoming students and staff;linguistic and sociocultural preparation of outgoing students and staff;promotional activities (events, publication of material, souvenirs etc.);participation in conferences and trainings;the first Erasmus+ staff training week;meetings with present and potential Erasmus+ partners.The results reached implementing the project are essentially in line with mobility project aims, indicated in Erasmus+ programme guide: support learners in the acquisition of learning outcomes with a view to improving their personal development, their involvement as considerate and active citizens in society and their employability in the European labor market; support the professional development of those who work in education sector; enhance the participants' foreign languages competence; raise participants' awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries; increase the capacities, attractiveness and international dimension of organisations active in the education sector; ensure a better recognition of competences gained through the learning periods abroad etc.Implemented project also had a great impact on the internationalization of the university and greatlycontributed towards achievement of the strategic goals set by the university:Increase the internationality of studies by developing international (joint and double degree qualification) study programmes, international doctoral and post-doctoral studies, enhancing mobility in studies using multilingual capabilities developed in the University.Develop the internationality of scientific activities by ensuring active participation in recognized international research networks and international research programmes, internationally disseminatingscientific and practical results and encouraging mobility in scientific activities. Activate the internationality of the University community by providing favorable conditions for the university community to develop language and intercultural competences, creating favorable conditions for integration of foreign lecturers, researchers and students, as well as ensuring favorable conditions for community members and graduates working abroad to participate in the University life.The main quantitative project indicator, indicated in the initial project agreement between the Lithuanian National Agency and Vytautas Magnus University, was exceeded by 27%. Instead of 48 mobilities, indicated in the initial agreement, 61 mobility was implemented.The number and type of mobilities indicated in the initial agreement:15 teaching visits, 5 staff training visits and 5 student mobilities for studies from Partner countries higher education institutions to Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) at the same time 15 teaching visits, 5 staff training visits and 3 student mobilities for studies from VMU to higher education institutions in Partner countries.The number and type of mobilities implemented:10 teaching visits, 12 staff training visits and 9 student mobilities for studies from Partner countries higher education institutions to Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) and at the same time 16 teaching visits, 9 staff training visits and 5 student mobilities for studies from VMU to higher education institutions in Partner countries.This big amount of mobilities realized only partially reflects and fulfills the actual need of VMU community and communities of partner higher education institutions from Partner countries need for staff training, teaching visits and student exchange.It is very important to mention that completely all (100%) VMU students who went for study exchange and staff who participated in staff training and teaching visits were either very satisfied or rather satisfied with their mobility as well as students (88.89 % of them) and staff members coming for teaching or staff training visits (completely all - 100%) from partner universities to VMU were either very satisfied or rather satisfied with their mobility.
