The report 2017/18 includes 144 students from Pforzheim University who were funded within the Erasmus+ programme. Most of these students decided to study only one semester abroad; whereas the structure of the double degree prorammes consists of a mandatory part of two semesters at the partner university. In these double degree programmes students have to follow a fixed stream and the courses are mandatory. Therefore most of the students who spent a whole year at the partner university and received the Erasmus+ funding during two semesters were double degree students. For all study programmes at Pforzheim University an intership, covering 100 working days, is obligatory. Some students are doing this internship in a company in Germany, some abroad in an European country and some find internships outside of Europe. A large number of students receive places paid by the company during their internships, therefore they didn't apply for an Erasmus+ funding for the period of their internship abroad. Students who applied for funding within the Erasmus+ programme were administrated via the KOOR/BEST consortium. Student mobility is still mainly focused on students studying within a bachelor programme, but the tendency shows an increase of the number of students in master programmes who intend to spend one semester abroad. Within this development more master students were funded during the reported period. Within the bachelor programmes students spend a semester abroad from the third semester onwards, latest during the sixth semster. During the final period of the bachelor programmes which consist of seven semesters in total, the students should be back at their home university. Students of master programs go abroad mostly during their third semester.Within the process of extending internationalisation Pforzheim University intends to increase the number of student mobility. Accordingly Pforzheim University could sign new agreements with a number of very good partners during the past years. Therefore more places at very good instituions can be offered to students who intend to go abroad within our student mobility programs. The number of outgooing and incoming students is quite balanced at Pforzheim University.
