Abstract

The purpose of the research is to compare different methodologies that analyze the performance of simple and double chambers greenhouse dryers applied to a scale prototype. Data is gathered under constant artificial radiation and air flow at different velocity rates, measuring two different test groups: simple water and a simulated product. The comparison is based on the workings of Saravia et al. (1990) and that of Singh and Kumar (2012) known as the dryer performance index. Results show that the double chamber green house dryer is more efficient under both analyses.
