Abstract

Het Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving geeft advies aan de rijksoverheid over sturing van het groene domein. De laatste tijd wordt hierbij steeds meer aandacht gevraagd voor governance. Dit werkdocument bevat een verslag van onderzoek naar innovatieve governance-arrangementen die op de thema’s vermaatschappelijking van natuurbeleid en verduurzaming van handelsketens (met een focus op de koffieketen) vanuit samenleving en overheden ontstaan. In deze governancearrangementen manifesteren zich verschillende governancestijlen, waarin overheden, marktpartijen en burgers in een wisselwerking sturing geven aan natuur, landschap en/of verduurzaming. De arrangementen laten verschillende mogelijke vormen van betrokkenheid van overheden zien (van leidend tot grotendeels afwezig) en bieden inzicht in het functioneren van meer maatschappelijk georiënteerde vormen van sturing.
