Ocena praktyk zawodowych w opinii studentów jako element doskonalenia jakości kształcenia

Implementation of professional practice in the course of education process at universities is an important element allowing students to strengthen the knowledge they gained, to acquire relevant skills and to form positive personality traits. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the quality of professional practice in students’ opinion on the basis of the onshore professional practice organized at the Commodity Science and Quality Management specialization at the Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Quality Science at the Gdynia Maritime University. The article presents general rules of organizing practice and it analyses survey questionnaires filled in by students following the realization of the professional practice in the years 2014–2016. Additionally, the results of the students’ perception of the practice are compared with the assessment as granted by the host companies concerning the apprentices’ profiles as future employees of the industry. The conducted analysis allowed to suggest measures to improve the implementation of professional practice at the Commodity Science and Quality Management specialization at the Gdynia Maritime University.
