Metadata only record El Programa de Conservación y Desarrollo Integrado (ICDP) surgió a mediados de los 80 como una estrategia dual para asegurar la protección ambiental y el manejo de áreas protegidas a largo plazo, mientras de mejoraba simultáneamente la calidad de vida de quienes residen en ellas o en las zonas límite.Sin embargo, en la práctica, esta unión entre pueblos y ambientes no surgió sin problemas reales y negociaciones.
