Efficiency of Reliability Evaluation of Large Electric Power Systems

Abstract

This paper addresses an issue of the efficiency of calculation of the reliability measures for a large electric power system. It contains a definition of a computing system and analysis of some of its properties. The analysis includes examination of the functional reliability and efficiency measures of a computing system. One of the main reasons such a system is introduced is to show that a bulk electric system reliability platform used for the analysis of the effects of changes in the maintenance policies of system components is more computationally efficient than the alternative approaches.
