Low emission combustors scaling for various gas turbines units

Abstract

Available approved Low emission combustors (LEC) have distinct control algorithms and may be re-used in other Gas Turbines (GT) for example for the GT modification. The OJSC VTI has successfully developed and tested at full parameters a LEC that is proposed as a prototype for a much smaller GT. This paper discloses the similarity criteria and development stages for the LEC scaling. The developed LEC and the prototype were tested in the VTI low pressure test facility. The test shows good correspondence in results and fuel control algorithm.
