Abstract

É a história ambiental a nossa “melhor esperança para o futuro”? O campo é recente, dinâmico e está pronto para contribuir com conhecimento para uma melhor compreensão dos inúmeros problemas que o planeta enfrenta. O seu trabalho tem procura, mas até que ponto é que aquilo que oferece pode dar esperança ou, melhor ainda, soluções práticas? Quais os campos que temos negligenciado? Há direções que deveremos incentivar e apoiar? As dezasseis contribuições presentes neste volume de RCC Perspectives oferecem diversas perspetivas e preocupações sobre o futuro da área, por parte de quem trabalha em história ambiental ou em disciplinas afins.
