Abstract

La concentración de biomasa es un parámetro fundamental en procesos de tratamiento biológico. Para efectos de supervisión y control de estos procesos industriales se requiere la determinación de los valores actuales de las variables controladas en línea. Existen un gran número de técnicas de estimación, algunas de éstas, basadas en balances de masa simples que permiten la estimación de biomasa, o su correspondiente concentración, a partir de los valores medidos en línea. Los observadores de estado son herramientas que permiten estimar las variables o estados de un sistema a partir de otras variables del proceso susceptibles de ser medidas en línea. El proyecto comprende el diseño de dos tipos diferentes de observador desarrollados para la estimación de biomasa en un bioreactor. ; Biomass concentration is a fundamental parameter in biological treatment processes. For purposes of supervision and control of these industrial processes requires the determination of the current values of the variables controlled in line. There are many estimation techniques, some of them based on simple mass balances that allow the estimation of biomass, or its corresponding concentration, from the values measured in line. State observers are tools that allow estimating the variables or states of a system from other process variables that can be measured online.
