LOOKING FOR A COMMON ENERGY SECURITY MODEL IN THE EUROPEAN UNION: POLICY APPROACHES

Abstract

Trabajo Fin de Grado leído en la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos en el curso académico 2022/2023. Directores/as: Vicente Garrido Rebolledo ; This research project arises in response to the author's concerns about energy and Energy Security and the importance of both concepts in geopolitics and the discipline of International Relations. Throughout this research project, we will focus on the importance of energy and the development of a single model of energy security in the European Union. There are already proposals for joint gas purchasing based on the principles of EU solidarity, as member states did with vaccines during the pandemic, but given all the internal divisions and the international scenario, will it be possible to arrive at a single model of Energy Security?
