Recursos Energéticos Renováveis - Biomassa

Abstract

Climate change has gained visibility on the international scene and has been the basis of the motivation for the energy transition, in which energy from biomass appears as an alternative. It is in this sphere that it was intended to explore this theme with the students and cooperative learning was selected as a strategy to achieve this end, which is a teaching method that places students at the center of their own learning and, therefore, provides challenges to the your application. Having been the first experience as a teacher, the strategy adopted was challenging due to the unpredictability of the students in the response to it. Direct observation in the classroom was the main means of understanding the way in which the students faced this strategy, and it was found that they considered the experience to be a positive one, proving this situation in the questionnaire completed at the end of the activity in order to obtain the class feedback. According to the bibliography analyzed, this teaching method has several benefits, mainly due to the fact that it enhances the interest of students or even awakens that interest in those who are more unmotivated. It appears that motivation is a key factor for the teaching-learning process and, consequently, for the acquisition of knowledge, verifying that cooperative work causes effects in this sense. In addition to the benefits associated with the teaching-learning process and acquisition of knowledge, it is confirmed that it also has positive effects on interpersonal relationships, as it allows the approximation not only between the students, but also between the students and the teacher. This approach allows for inclusion and the deconstruction of both physical and emotional barriers. The acquisition of knowledge around the theme of renewable energy resources and the awareness of territorial sustainability and climate change benefited from the adoption of the cooperative work strategy and the students were attracted to repeat this method in the future, demonstrating that the cons associated with this strategy are of little relevance when compared to the benefits. The results obtained showed that the implementation of this strategy fostered the development of skills that are incorporated in the Student Profile on Leaving Compulsory Schooling.
