Análisis de Políticas Orientadas a la Adaptación al Cambio Climático en Países de Centroamérica

Abstract

El objetivo de este documento es identificar los mecanismos y procesos que existen en Guatemala, El Salvador y Honduras, para la formulación de políticas públicas que aborden los ejes temáticos de la Agricultura Sostenible Adaptada al Clima (ASAC), así como a los agentes que participan en las dinámicas sectoriales afectadas por el Marco de Políticas. Todo ello con la finalidad de que las políticas sectoriales incidan en el desarrollo de los sistemas agroalimentarios sostenibles (SAS). En junio del 2017 se establece y propone la Estrategia de Agricultura Sostenible Adaptada al Clima (EASAC) para todos los países integrantes del Sistema de Integración Centroamericana (SICA). Este paso se da como mecanismo de preparación de la región a un desafío demográfico y las amenazas del cambio climático. Se espera que en la década de los 20s la región tenga el mayor número de población joven, con sus correspondientes demandas de bienestar humano, enfrentando un alto nivel de incertidumbre en la producción agrícola por razón del cambio climático (CC).
