Es la historia de cómo 20 productores de granos básicos y hortalizas en la ciudad de Matagalpa, Nicaragua se organizaron y aprovechando unas capacitaciones impartidas por Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Caritas Matagalpa y el Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical (CIAT) en temas de producción, poscosecha y comercialización, crearon la Cooperativa de Servicios Múltiples Esquipulas, COOSEMES.
