Abstract

La producción de hilo de poliéster a partir de botellas PET recicladas puede ofrecer múltiples beneficios ambientales, económicos y sociales para una empresa textil en Lima Metropolitana en 2022. No obstante, resulta crucial analizar la demanda de PET reciclado, la cual es negativa en el Perú y se agrava por la falta de un plan de reciclaje en Lima Metropolitana o en cualquier otra parte del país que permita cubrir la necesidad actual y fomente la sostenibilidad a largo plazo. Identificamos los factores que se relacionan con los beneficios de producir hilo poliéster a partir de las botellas PET y desarrollamos un plan de gestión integral de residuos sólidos para asegurar una producción sostenible en el largo plazo. Se utilizará un enfoque cuantitativo, llevando a cabo una revisión de literatura para recopilar información sobre los beneficios de producir hilo poliéster a partir de las botellas PET y la gestión integral de residuos sólidos. Se utilizará el método de mínimos cuadrados para proyectar la demanda de residuos sólidos en Lima y demostrar una tendencia ascendente. El incremento poblacional y el consumo de bebidas no alcohólicas son factores que contribuyen a esta tendencia. Es necesario incentivar el reciclaje para que las empresas locales puedan proveer de materiales a las textiles y otras industrias, y reducir la necesidad de importaciones.
