Abstract
持続可能性の概念は今後の都市開発における重要なパラダイムであり,それを達成する一つの有効な方法としてコンパクトシティ政策が注目されている.本研究では,交通サービスに加えて一般財の消費も含めた個人の効用関数を定義し,彼の現在の効用水準を維持するという条件の下でエネルギー消費量を最小化した場合,最適な財の消費パターンが実績消費パターンとどれほど異なっているかによって都市のコンパクト性を評価するモデルを提案する.このモデルを熊本都市圏の2時点,および長崎都市圏にも適用し,どのような都市構造や交通サービスが現在の効用水準を維持した上でのエネルギー消費量削減に貢献するかを実証的に明らかにする.
