Abstract

Com esta investigação pretende-se analisar as redes sociais enquanto plataformas de comunicação, identificar as ferramentas do design de comunicação necessárias à criação de peças gráficas para a implementação de uma nova marca e identificar o papel do design de comunicação nas redes sociais This document is the result of a curricular internship at DesignLab4U, developed within the scope of the Master’s Degree in Digital Identity Design (MDID) from the School of Technologies and Management of theInstituto Politécnico de Portalegre (IPP). The study’s main objective is toassess the importance of social media in the dissemination of MDID. An active investigation was developed through the use of a mixed methodology. An exploratory case study was used, whose key study objective was the dissemination of MDID on social media. First, the diagnostic evaluation was carried out through a qualitative methodology. This was followed by the project’s planning and its respective implementation. Lastly, the overall project was evaluated through a quantitative methodology method. This investigation aims to analyse social media as communication platforms, identify the design communication tools necessary to create graphic pieces for the implementation of a new brand and recognise the role of communication design in social media
