Produção de massa fresca dos inhames 'Cem/Um' e 'Macaquinho', em três densidades de plantas

Abstract

O trabalho foi conduzido na área experimental da UFMS, em Dourados (MS), de 24 de setembro de 1999 a 21 de maio de 2000, em Latossolo Vermelho distroférrico de textura argilosa. Avaliaram-se as produções de massa fresca dos inhames 'Cem/Um' e 'Macaquinho', cultivados sob três populações (100.000; 125.000 e 150.000 plantas.ha-1). O delineamento experimental foi de blocos casualizados, com quatro repetições e os tratamentos distribuídos num esquema fatorial 2 x 3. Foram efetuadas colheitas aos 217 e 240 dias após o plantio (DAP). Avaliou-se as massas frescas de limbos, pecíolos, rizomas-mães (RM) e de rizomas-filhos (RF). As produções de pecíolos na colheita aos 217 DAP tiveram aumento significativo de 2,2 t.ha-1 para o clone Macaquinho, em relação ao 'Cem/Um'; de 2,0 t.ha-1 na população de 125.000 plantas.ha-1, em relação a 100.000 plantas.ha-1. Na colheita aos 240 DAP houve efeito da interação. As produções de massa fresca de RM das plantas nas populações de 125.000 e 150.000 plantas.ha-1, colhendo-se aos 217 DAP, foram significativamente maiores em 3,0 e 1,9 t.ha-1, respectivamente, em relação à população de 100.000 plantas.ha-1. As produções de massa fresca dos RF aos 217 DAP mostraram que o 'Cem/Um' foi significativamente maior em 6,4 t.ha-1 que o 'Macaquinho'. Na colheita aos 240 DAP, as maiores produções do inhame 'Cem/Um', tanto de RM (11,4 t.ha-1) como de RF (56,7 t.ha-1), foram na população de 125.000 plantas.ha-1 e do 'Macaquinho' com 150.000 plantas.ha-1 (10,2 t.ha-1 de RM e 58,00 t.ha-1 de RF).
