Abstract

ナトリウム漏えい燃焼形態の一つであるスプレイ燃焼の燃焼挙動に対する理解の向上、現象のメカニズムに基づく評価手法の確立を目的として、単一ナトリウム液滴の落下燃焼挙動を研究している。本研究では、同実験シリーズのFD-2実験とは異なる初期径(3.34mm、5.85mm)のナトリウム液滴を用いた落下燃焼実験、不活性雰囲気下でのナトリウム液滴の落下実験、ナトリウムと近い密度のポリプロピレン球の落下実験を行い、初期液滴径変化が燃焼に与える影響、燃焼が液滴の落下運動に与える影響を調べた。得られた結果を、以下に示す。(1)燃焼ナトリウム液滴の抵抗係数は、同直径剛体球の1.4sim2.2倍に相当する。(2)ナトリウム液滴の空気抵抗が剛体球よりも大きい主な要因は、燃焼発熱に伴う液滴周囲ガスの粘性増加である。ナトリウム液滴は約8m落下時で縦横比0.89の楕円体に変形するが、その影響はほとんどない。また、液滴の蒸発および浮力の影響についても同様に無視できる。(3)ナトリウム液滴の燃焼は初期液滴径が変化した場合でもD2則に従うことが確認された。ナトリウム燃焼量を測定値に一致させる条件でD2則燃焼モデルを用いた計算を行った場合、反応生成物中のNa2O割合は0.51sim0.75となる。
