    O objetivo deste artigo é lançar luzes sobre as implicações da mudança climática para as organizações. Para fazer frente a esse debate, são explorados: o conceito de "inteligência ambiental" (IA); as estratégias por meio das quais as organizações fazem frente ao desafio da mudança climática; as oportunidades que explicam a adoção dessas estratégias; e o papel fornecido pela função produção para que tais estratégias possuam o efeito desejado. Por fim, tais conceitos são sistematizados, buscando-se uma integração dos modelos teóricos existentes, até então considerados de maneira estanque.The aim of this paper is to enlighten the implications of climate change for organizations. To deal with this subject, the follow issues are analyzed: concept of environmental intelligence; opportunities which justify the adoption of these strategies, and the main role performed by the production function to implement such strategies. Finally, concepts of prior theoretical models are taken into account.

    No marco do Programa SERVIR-Amazonia, uma iniciativa da Administração Nacional de Aeronáutica e Espaço dos Estados Unidos (NASA) e da Agência dos Estados Unidos para o Desenvolvimento Internacional (USAID), se organizou a oficina de trabalho: “Consulta sobre as Necessidades dos Usuários do Programa SERVIR-Amazonia” Brasília-DF, nos dias 23 e 24 de outubro de 2019. O principal objetivo da oficina, a qual contou com a participação de 71 representantes de 36 organizações, foi o de obter uma aproximação primária, desde a perspectiva dos atores envolvidos, sobre os principais problemas/ameaças que afetam a Amazônia emolduradas nas 4 áreas temáticas trabalhadas pelo Programa. Com base nesta informação, e através de um processo participativo de dois dias, identificaram-se as necessidades de informação e as oportunidades para as melhores decisões que permitam priorizar o co-desenho de serviços. Durante a oficina, uma discussão inicial foi facilitada sobre as percepções dos participantes quanto ao estado atual da tomada de decisão ambiental com base em informações geoespaciais no Brasil. O mapeamento dos serviços existentes e dos principais atores foi realizado de forma participativa e orientado pelas áreas temáticas. Esse mapeamento é o principal elemento para a priorização dos serviços a serem desenvolvidos durante o Programa e será usado na fase de definição e desenvolvimento do mesmo. Este exercício mostrou que já existem muitas informações, atores e serviços existentes. Além disso, 5 principais categorias de necessidades foram identificadas com relação à melhoria do uso de informações geoespaciais no Brasil: integração de banco de dados e informação; aprimoramento de tecnologias de monitoramento; articulação de atores institucionais; padronização da informação; e capacitação e treinamento.

    The study carried out a comparative analysis of territorial management policies implemented in Brazil (State of Amazonas) and France (Rhône-Alpes Region) through the creation and management of protected areas. The objective of the research was to identify and to understand the effects of the territorial management policies on the forms of work and production systems of populations living in legally protected areas in Brazil and in France. ; L'étude a effectué une analyse comparative des politiques de gestion territoriale mises en œuvre au Brésil (département d'Amazonas) et en France (région Rhône-Alpes) à travers la création et la gestion des aires protégées. L'objectif de la recherche a été d'identifier et de comprendre les effets des politiques de gestion territoriale sur le travail et les systèmes de production des populations résidant dans les zones protégées au Brésil et en France.

    Introdução – Os componentes protésicos têm um papel fundamental na eficiência energética da marcha dos indivíduos amputados. Esta é uma área de conhecimento ainda em desenvolvimento, onde a investigação desempenha um papel central. Objectivos – Comparar e analisar o efeito de dois joelhos protésicos, 3R34, monocêntrico modular, de fricção constante, com auxiliar de extensão incorporado (A) e 3R92, monocêntrico modular, com travão de fricção e controlo pneumático da fase de balanço (B) no consumo energético e eficiência da marcha. Metodologia – Um indivíduo do sexo masculino de 27 anos, com amputação transfemural longa, foi sujeito a um protocolo submáximo de avaliação da resposta ao exercício em passadeira rolante (H/P/Cosmos(R) Mercury), através de um sistema de análise de gases breath-by-breath (Cosmed Quark PFT Ergo). Foi efetuado o mesmo protocolo com intervalo de dois dias, primeiro utilizando o joelho A e depois o B. As variáveis analisadas foram o consumo de O2 (VO2), o equivalente metabólico (MET) e a eficiência energética da marcha (Quociente de VO2 esperado de um individuo saudável e o VO2 do individuo em estudo). O esforço percecionado foi medido com a escala RPE de Borg. Resultados – O consumo energético com o joelho A (24,2 ml O2/kg/min; 6,9 MET) foi inferior ao obtido com o joelho B (28,68 ml O2/kg/min; 8,2 MET). A eficiência energética da marcha foi mais elevada para o joelho A (43%) do que para o joelho B (39%). Conclusão – A utilização do joelho A na prótese do indivíduo em estudo resulta numa marcha de menor consumo energético e maior eficiência. No entanto, este valor poderá estar influenciado pelo curto período de adaptação ao joelho B, sendo necessários mais estudos para confirmar os resultados do estudo e a influência deste fator.     O presente capítulo faz uma introdução geral sobre o tema hidratos de gás naturais, i.e., que ocorrem nos sedimentos, apresentando os tipos existentes, como se formam, os principais gases envolvidos, a sua importância econômica e ambiental (incluindo mudança climática e como geohazards), além de suas ocorrências naturais no mundo. A seguir é apresentado um breve histórico dos estudos e da exploração de hidratos de gás no Brasil, seguido de uma descrição das ocorrências naturais confirmadas no país, no leque do Amazonas (Bacia da Foz do Amazonas) e no Cone de Rio Grande (Bacia de Pelotas). Por fim é apresentada uma breve comparação entre as duas ocorrências e uma discussão sobre o desenvolvimento futuro da exploração de hidratos de gás no país. This chapter starts with an introduction of the topic of natural gas hydrates, presenting the main existing types, how they form, the main gases involved in their formation, their economic and environmental (including climate change and as geohazards) importance, in addition to their worldwide natural occurrences. Also included is a brief history of the study and exploration of gas hydrates in Brazil, and a description of the two confirmed occurrences in the country: The Amazon fan (Foz do Amazonas basin) and the Rio Grande Cone (Pelotas Basin). The chapter ends with a brief comparison between the two occurrences and a discussion about the future development of the exploration for gas hydrates in the country. National audience

    La estructuración del espacio urbano capitalista descuida la condición de las ciudades como ecosistemas complejos. Esta fue la lógica seguida en la formación de la Región Metropolitana de Belém siempre que la inversión en infraestructura omitiera los procesos ambientales, los aspectos climáticos y la diversidad social de la Amazonia, priorizando la densificación de la construcción y la reducción de la cobertura vegetal en el centro y en el área de expansión de la ciudad. Esta investigación se propuso identificar las potencialidades para la creación de un paisaje funcional en el área de expansión de Belém, tomando la cuenca hidrográfica de Mata-Fome como piloto para la realidad de la periferia metropolitana (RMB). El geoprocesamiento, los cálculos matemáticos y la modelización en 3D fueron los recursos utilizados para demostrar la viabilidad de asociar soluciones basadas en la naturaleza (infraestructuras verdes) a las infraestructuras convencionales, a fin de preservar los usos culturales y las características del paisaje, ya adaptado a las inundaciones estacionales, y reducir los costes y los impactos ecológicos. Se concluye que es posible mantener áreas vegetadas y permeables, con potencial socioambiental, paisajístico y económico, y también contribuir a enfrentar el cambio climático en las ciudades amazónicas. The structuring of space in the capitalist city neglects the condition of cities as complex ecosystems. This was the logic followed by the formation of the Metropolitan Region of Belém (MRB), when all the investments in infrastructure consistently omitted environmental processes, climatic aspects and the social diversity of the Amazon, and prioritized constructive densification and a reduction of the vegetation cover both in the center and in the expansion area of the city. This research has aimed to identify the potential for creating a functional landscape in the expansion area of Belém, taking the Mata-Fome watershed as a pilot for the reality of the metropolitan periphery. Geoprocessing, mathematical calculations and 3D modeling were the resources used to demonstrate the feasibility of associating nature-based solutions (green infrastructures) with conventional infrastructure, in order to preserve the uses and cultural characteristics of the landscape, already adapted to seasonal flooding, and to reduce costs and ecological impacts. The conclusion is that it is possible to maintain vegetation and permeable areas, with socio-environmental, landscaping and economic potential, and also to help confront climate change in Amazonian cities. Esta foi a lógica seguida na formação da Região Metropolitana de Belém, em todos os momentos que o investimento em infraestrutura omitiu os processos ambientais, aspectos climáticos e a diversidade social da Amazônia, priorizando o adensamento construtivo e a redução da cobertura vegetal no centro e na área de expansão da cidade. Esta pesquisa propôs-se identificar os potenciais para criação de uma paisagem funcional na área de expansão de Belém, tomando a Bacia hidrográfica do Mata-Fome como um piloto para a realidade da periferia metropolitana (RMB). Geoprocessamento, cálculos matemáticos e modelagem 3D foram os recursos usados para demonstrar a viabilidade de associação de soluções baseadas na natureza (infraestrutura verde) à infraestrutura convencional, de modo a preservar usos e características culturais da paisagem, já adaptada aos alagamentos sazonais, e reduzir custos e impactos ecológicos. Conclui-se que é possível manter áreas vegetadas e permeáveis, com potencial socioambiental, paisagístico e econômico, e também contribuir para o enfrentamento das mudanças climáticas nas cidades amazônicas.

    O objetivo deste artigo é lançar luzes sobre as implicações da mudança climática para as organizações. Para fazer frente a esse debate, são explorados: o conceito de "inteligência ambiental" (IA); as estratégias por meio das quais as organizações fazem frente ao desafio da mudança climática; as oportunidades que explicam a adoção dessas estratégias; e o papel fornecido pela função produção para que tais estratégias possuam o efeito desejado. Por fim, tais conceitos são sistematizados, buscando-se uma integração dos modelos teóricos existentes, até então considerados de maneira estanque.The aim of this paper is to enlighten the implications of climate change for organizations. To deal with this subject, the follow issues are analyzed: concept of environmental intelligence; opportunities which justify the adoption of these strategies, and the main role performed by the production function to implement such strategies. Finally, concepts of prior theoretical models are taken into account.

    No marco do Programa SERVIR-Amazonia, uma iniciativa da Administração Nacional de Aeronáutica e Espaço dos Estados Unidos (NASA) e da Agência dos Estados Unidos para o Desenvolvimento Internacional (USAID), se organizou a oficina de trabalho: “Consulta sobre as Necessidades dos Usuários do Programa SERVIR-Amazonia” Brasília-DF, nos dias 23 e 24 de outubro de 2019. O principal objetivo da oficina, a qual contou com a participação de 71 representantes de 36 organizações, foi o de obter uma aproximação primária, desde a perspectiva dos atores envolvidos, sobre os principais problemas/ameaças que afetam a Amazônia emolduradas nas 4 áreas temáticas trabalhadas pelo Programa. Com base nesta informação, e através de um processo participativo de dois dias, identificaram-se as necessidades de informação e as oportunidades para as melhores decisões que permitam priorizar o co-desenho de serviços. Durante a oficina, uma discussão inicial foi facilitada sobre as percepções dos participantes quanto ao estado atual da tomada de decisão ambiental com base em informações geoespaciais no Brasil. O mapeamento dos serviços existentes e dos principais atores foi realizado de forma participativa e orientado pelas áreas temáticas. Esse mapeamento é o principal elemento para a priorização dos serviços a serem desenvolvidos durante o Programa e será usado na fase de definição e desenvolvimento do mesmo. Este exercício mostrou que já existem muitas informações, atores e serviços existentes. Além disso, 5 principais categorias de necessidades foram identificadas com relação à melhoria do uso de informações geoespaciais no Brasil: integração de banco de dados e informação; aprimoramento de tecnologias de monitoramento; articulação de atores institucionais; padronização da informação; e capacitação e treinamento.

    Introdução – Os componentes protésicos têm um papel fundamental na eficiência energética da marcha dos indivíduos amputados. Esta é uma área de conhecimento ainda em desenvolvimento, onde a investigação desempenha um papel central. Objectivos – Comparar e analisar o efeito de dois joelhos protésicos, 3R34, monocêntrico modular, de fricção constante, com auxiliar de extensão incorporado (A) e 3R92, monocêntrico modular, com travão de fricção e controlo pneumático da fase de balanço (B) no consumo energético e eficiência da marcha. Metodologia – Um indivíduo do sexo masculino de 27 anos, com amputação transfemural longa, foi sujeito a um protocolo submáximo de avaliação da resposta ao exercício em passadeira rolante (H/P/Cosmos(R) Mercury), através de um sistema de análise de gases breath-by-breath (Cosmed Quark PFT Ergo). Foi efetuado o mesmo protocolo com intervalo de dois dias, primeiro utilizando o joelho A e depois o B. As variáveis analisadas foram o consumo de O2 (VO2), o equivalente metabólico (MET) e a eficiência energética da marcha (Quociente de VO2 esperado de um individuo saudável e o VO2 do individuo em estudo). O esforço percecionado foi medido com a escala RPE de Borg. Resultados – O consumo energético com o joelho A (24,2 ml O2/kg/min; 6,9 MET) foi inferior ao obtido com o joelho B (28,68 ml O2/kg/min; 8,2 MET). A eficiência energética da marcha foi mais elevada para o joelho A (43%) do que para o joelho B (39%). Conclusão – A utilização do joelho A na prótese do indivíduo em estudo resulta numa marcha de menor consumo energético e maior eficiência. No entanto, este valor poderá estar influenciado pelo curto período de adaptação ao joelho B, sendo necessários mais estudos para confirmar os resultados do estudo e a influência deste fator.     O presente capítulo faz uma introdução geral sobre o tema hidratos de gás naturais, i.e., que ocorrem nos sedimentos, apresentando os tipos existentes, como se formam, os principais gases envolvidos, a sua importância econômica e ambiental (incluindo mudança climática e como geohazards), além de suas ocorrências naturais no mundo. A seguir é apresentado um breve histórico dos estudos e da exploração de hidratos de gás no Brasil, seguido de uma descrição das ocorrências naturais confirmadas no país, no leque do Amazonas (Bacia da Foz do Amazonas) e no Cone de Rio Grande (Bacia de Pelotas). Por fim é apresentada uma breve comparação entre as duas ocorrências e uma discussão sobre o desenvolvimento futuro da exploração de hidratos de gás no país. This chapter starts with an introduction of the topic of natural gas hydrates, presenting the main existing types, how they form, the main gases involved in their formation, their economic and environmental (including climate change and as geohazards) importance, in addition to their worldwide natural occurrences. Also included is a brief history of the study and exploration of gas hydrates in Brazil, and a description of the two confirmed occurrences in the country: The Amazon fan (Foz do Amazonas basin) and the Rio Grande Cone (Pelotas Basin). The chapter ends with a brief comparison between the two occurrences and a discussion about the future development of the exploration for gas hydrates in the country. National audience

    La estructuración del espacio urbano capitalista descuida la condición de las ciudades como ecosistemas complejos. Esta fue la lógica seguida en la formación de la Región Metropolitana de Belém siempre que la inversión en infraestructura omitiera los procesos ambientales, los aspectos climáticos y la diversidad social de la Amazonia, priorizando la densificación de la construcción y la reducción de la cobertura vegetal en el centro y en el área de expansión de la ciudad. Esta investigación se propuso identificar las potencialidades para la creación de un paisaje funcional en el área de expansión de Belém, tomando la cuenca hidrográfica de Mata-Fome como piloto para la realidad de la periferia metropolitana (RMB). El geoprocesamiento, los cálculos matemáticos y la modelización en 3D fueron los recursos utilizados para demostrar la viabilidad de asociar soluciones basadas en la naturaleza (infraestructuras verdes) a las infraestructuras convencionales, a fin de preservar los usos culturales y las características del paisaje, ya adaptado a las inundaciones estacionales, y reducir los costes y los impactos ecológicos. Se concluye que es posible mantener áreas vegetadas y permeables, con potencial socioambiental, paisajístico y económico, y también contribuir a enfrentar el cambio climático en las ciudades amazónicas. The structuring of space in the capitalist city neglects the condition of cities as complex ecosystems. This was the logic followed by the formation of the Metropolitan Region of Belém (MRB), when all the investments in infrastructure consistently omitted environmental processes, climatic aspects and the social diversity of the Amazon, and prioritized constructive densification and a reduction of the vegetation cover both in the center and in the expansion area of the city. This research has aimed to identify the potential for creating a functional landscape in the expansion area of Belém, taking the Mata-Fome watershed as a pilot for the reality of the metropolitan periphery. Geoprocessing, mathematical calculations and 3D modeling were the resources used to demonstrate the feasibility of associating nature-based solutions (green infrastructures) with conventional infrastructure, in order to preserve the uses and cultural characteristics of the landscape, already adapted to seasonal flooding, and to reduce costs and ecological impacts. The conclusion is that it is possible to maintain vegetation and permeable areas, with socio-environmental, landscaping and economic potential, and also to help confront climate change in Amazonian cities. Esta pesquisa propôs-se identificar os potenciais para criação de uma paisagem funcional na área de expansão de Belém, tomando a Bacia hidrográfica do Mata-Fome como um piloto para a realidade da periferia metropolitana (RMB). Geoprocessamento, cálculos matemáticos e modelagem 3D foram os recursos usados para demonstrar a viabilidade de associação de soluções baseadas na natureza (infraestrutura verde) à infraestrutura convencional, de modo a preservar usos e características culturais da paisagem, já adaptada aos alagamentos sazonais, e reduzir custos e impactos ecológicos. Conclui-se que é possível manter áreas vegetadas e permeáveis, com potencial socioambiental, paisagístico e econômico, e também contribuir para o enfrentamento das mudanças climáticas nas cidades amazônicas.
