Atualmente, existe uma necessidade cada vez maior das empresas adotarem algum tipo de medida de responsabilidade social corporativa. É uma obrigação da empresa alcançar metas sustentáveis de longo prazo para os seus funcionários e também para o mundo em geral. O papel do gestor de operações é conseguir balançar todos os desafios que surgem à medida que o ambiente económico, social político e tecnológico altera. Há toda uma análise necessária entre os incentivos que o governo de cada país fornece e o proveito que a empresa consegue retirar da implementação destas políticas. Surge aqui a questão fulcral se a adoção destas políticas não é meramente por interesses económicos por parte destas organizações. O presente trabalho visa, por isso, avaliar a aplicação de medidas de responsabilidade social corporativa em empresas internacionais. Foi elaborado através do estudo e análise de duas organizações internacionais com as suas operações já delineadas, a FARFETCH e a FERPINTA. Ao longo do trabalho são avaliados os desafios enfrentados por estes dois grupos internacionais cujo as indústrias nas quais operam são inequivocamente diferentes. Inicialmente, realiza-se revisão de literatura, de seguida é feito um resumo dos dois grupos. Posteriormente, é feita a análise das entrevistas levadas a cabo com diferentes colaboradores e de diferentes departamentos das empresas de forma a recolher uma amostra variada dos pontos de vistas e das ações de responsabilidade social levadas a cabo. Por fim, é feita uma análise geral com a análise dos resultados das entrevistas e dados recolhidos. Após recolhidas e formuladas as análises, são sugeridas possíveis ações de implementação por parte das empresas. Currently, there is an increasing need for companies to adopt some kind of corporate social responsibility measure. It is an obligation of the company to achieve sustainable long-term goals for its employees and also for the world at large. The operations manager's role is to balance all the challenges that arise as the economic, social, political, and technological environment changes. There is a whole necessary analysis between the incentives that the government of each country provides and the benefit that the company is able to derive from the implementation of these policies. Here, the central question arises whether the adoption of these policies is not merely for economic interests. The present work aims, therefore, to evaluate the application of corporate social responsibility measures in international companies. It was prepared through the study and analysis of two international organizations with their operations already outlined, FARFETCH and FERPINTA. Throughout the work, the challenges faced by these two international groups whose industries in which they operate are unequivocally different are evaluated. Initially, a literature review is carried out, followed by a summary of the two groups. Subsequently, an analysis of the interviews is carried out with different employees and from different departments of the companies in order to collect a varied sample of the points of view and the social responsibility actions implemented. Finally, a general analysis is made with the evaluation of the results of the interviews and data collected. After collecting and formulating the analyses, possible implementation actions by the companies are suggested.

As parcerias em saúde global ocupam um importante lugar na discussão da saúde global. Durante o 5º Congresso Nacional de Medicina Tropical foram discutidos alguns pontos centrais desta área: investigação, implementação e financiamento. O objetivo deste artigo é, com base nas ideias apresentadas e do debate gerado, refletir sobre cada um dos temas, sobressaindo os aspetos mais relevantes para a atualidade e futuro das parcerias em saúde global. O artigo tem por base as apresentações, a discussão gerada e a revisão bibliográfica sobre as três temáticas centrais referidas. As parcerias em saúde global pretendem reverter e superar as assimetrias Norte/Sul em diversos níveis: capacitação, acesso, conhecimento, financiamento, investigação, ensino e desenvolvimento de ciência; contribuindo para a construção de uma sociedade baseada no conhecimento e com vista ao desenvolvimento sustentável e cobertura universal em saúde. Estas parcerias são crescentemente reconhecidas como um elemento fundamental para alcançar os ODS, existindo, no entanto, a necessidade de assegurar que não prejudicam nenhum dos intervenientes. Devem ser equilibradas e simétricas, espelhando os interesses de todas as partes envolvidas, reforçando as capacidades existentes e prezando pela transparência e inclusão de todos os parceiros em todas as fases. Assim, as parcerias em saúde global poderão ser verdadeiramente efetivas, levando a novas formas de articulação, implementação e financiamento. Partnerships in global health stand in an important position when discussing global health. During the 5th National Congress of Tropical Medicine, some central themes in this area were discussed: research, implementation and funding. This paper aims to reflect upon each theme, highlighting the most relevant aspects for the future and present of global health partnerships. It is based on the various presentations and the ensuing discussion, also relying on a literature review on the referred three central themes. Global health partnerships aim to reverse and overcome the North/South asymmetries at different levels: training, access, knowledge, funding, research, education and science development; contributing towards the construction of a knowledge-based society, aiming at sustainable development and universal health coverage. These partnerships are increasingly understood as critical to attaining all SDGs, but there is also the need to ensure that they do not harm any of the stakeholders. They must be balanced and symmetrical, reflecting the interests of all parties involved, fostering the inclusion of all partners in every stage. O ecoturismo é, hoje, definido como uma forma responsável de viajar, para áreas naturais, tendo por base conservação do meio ambiente e do bem-estar da população local, enquanto envolvendo a interpretação e a educação. Os objetivos deste estudo assentaram na caracterização do ecoturismo e na avaliação do seu impacto no desenvolvimento sustentável da ilha de São Miguel. Foram analisadas as perceções de três grupos da ilha de São Miguel: turistas, residentes e empresas do setor turístico. O propósito desta investigação empírica foi o de caracterizar as perceções recolhidas destes grupos quanto ao impacto socioeconómico e ambiental relativamente ao ecoturismo respondendo, à Q.I.: Qual o impacto socioeconómico e ambiental do ecoturismo nos principais stakeholders que alberga o turismo na ilha de São Miguel? A amostra dos turistas é caracterizada por ser 59,5% composta por turistas portugueses, os principais fatores de escolha deste destino são: “Beleza das paisagens”, “Sossego e tranquilidade/relaxamento” e “Contacto com a natureza”. A autoavaliação da preocupação ambiental por parte do turista foi alta, embora, 45% dos inquiridos não denotaram impactos do turismo no meio ambiente. A amostra dos residentes é composta em 73,1% por residentes de Ponta Delgada. O residente padrão da amostra denota que mediante o aumento do turismo verificou-se alguns aspetos positivos, mas, regra geral, perdeu qualidade de vida. Adicionalmente, é evidenciado, o aumento do lixo e da degradação paisagística e o seu desagrado com o planeamento do desenvolvimento turístico da região por parte do governo. Por último, 64,4% das empresas do setor turístico pertencem ao setor do alojamento e 96,6% tem origem regional. As empresas inquiridas avaliam de forma elevada a sua preocupação ambiental, mas 75,4% das empresas, revela que seria possível desenvolver a sua atividade de uma forma mais ecológica. Nowadays, ecotourism is defined as a responsible way to travel to a natural area, conserving the environment and the well-being of the local people, while involving the education and interpretation of the surrounding. The goal of this study was to characterize the ecotourism and evaluate its impact on the sustainable development of the island of São Miguel. The perceptions of three groups of people on São Miguel were analysed: tourists, residents and companies in the tourism sector. This empirical investigation characterized the perceptions gathered from these groups, regarding the socioeconomic and environmental impact of ecotourism, therefore answering the R.Q.: What is the socioeconomic and environmental impact of ecotourism on the main stakeholders of tourism on the island of São Miguel? The tourist’s sample is mainly composed of Portuguese tourists (59,5%), and the main factors when choosing São Miguel as their destination are: “Beautiful landscapes”, “Peace and quiet/relaxation” and “Contact with nature”. The tourists reported high environmental concern. Although, 45% of the respondents did not denote tourism impacts on the environment. The sample of residents is mainly made up of people living in Ponta Delgada (73,1%). The standard resident of this sample denotes that with the increase in tourism, there has been some positive aspects, but generally, quality of life has decreased. In addition, there has been an increase in garbage, landscape degradation and displeasure with the government planning for tourism development. Finally, 64,4% of the companies in the tourism sector belong to the accommodation industry and 96,6% of all companies inquired are characterized as local companies. The surveyed companies assess their environmental concern as high, but 75,4% of the companies reveal that it would be possible to develop their activity in a more ecological way.

Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado em Ensino de Geografia no 3º ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário apresentado à Faculdade de Letras O presente relatório de estágio visa apresentar uma análise e reflexão das atividades letivas e extralectivas ao longo do Estágio Pedagógico Supervisionado, desenvolvido na Escola Secundária Dr.ª Maria Cândida, em Mira, durante o ano letivo 2020/2021. Além disso, pretendo efetuar uma reflexão da aplicação da estratégia didático-pedagógica, neste caso concreto a Aplicação dos Media na Educação Geográfica e Ambiental, caso específico do Jornal aplicado ao tema das Alterações Climáticas. O relatório está dividido em três partes. A primeira parte, onde é feita a descrição geral da escola, acompanhado do enquadramento geográfico, turma, núcleo de estágio e das atividades realizadas ao longo do estágio. A segunda parte, está direcionada para a reflexão teórica e científica associada ao tema da aplicação didática.O tema da componente científica é as Alterações Climáticas e os seus impactos na saúde humana, assim como o surgimento ou ressurgimento de doenças parasitárias na Europa. Na terceira parte é apresentada a estratégia didática, o jornal realizado pelos alunos, acompanhado dos resultados obtidos ao inquérito realizado aos professores do agrupamento e aos alunos sobre o mesmo. Neste capítulo também se encontra uma reflexão sobre o ensino à distância e os impactos na aprendizagem tanto nos professores como alunos. Os objetivos propostos para esta estratégia foram positivos, uma vez que obtive o feedback desejado por parte dos alunos, assim como toda a dedicação na construção do jornal. This internship report aims to present an analysis and reflection of teaching and extralegal activities throughout the Supervised Pedagogical Internship, developed in Escola Secundária Dr. ª Maria Cândida, in Mira, during the school year 2020/2021. In addition, I intend to reflect on the application of didactic-pedagogical strategy, in this specific case the Application of Media in Geographic and Environmental Education, the specific case of the newspaper applied to the theme of Climate Change.The report is divided in three parts. The first part, where the general description of the school is made, accompanied by the geographic framing, class, internship nucleus and the activities carried out throughout the internship. The second part is directed towards the theoretical and scientific reflection associated with the theme of didactic application. The theme of the scientific component is Climate Change and its impacts on human health, as well as the emergence or resurgence of parasitic diseases in Europe.In the third part, the didactic strategy is presented, the newspaper made by the students, accompanied by the results obtained from the survey carried out to the teachers of the grouping and to the students about it. In this chapter there is also a reflection on distance learning and the impacts on learning for both teachers and students. The objectives proposed for this strategy were positive, since I obtained the desired feedback from the students, as well as all the dedication in the construction of the newspaper.

Parceria com a Universidade de Lisboa - Instituto de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território Num mundo contemporâneo cada vez mais globalizado, não é de estranhar o papel que o turismo tem demonstrado num meio onde as experiências deixam de pertencer menos ao domínio do local, começando a envolver vários contactos e experiências universais, resultando num interculturalismo que compõe a partilha entre turista e comunidade, essencial ao estabelecimento de uma tipologia turística como o justice tourism. Daqui surgem vários fatores que podem, quando manobrados de certa forma, ser manipulados para o empreendimento do bem-estar e conservação das comunidades. O objetivo geral desta dissertação, passa, assim, por explicar um fenómeno turístico recente a que chamamos de justice tourism, um modelo de turismo alternativo que em muito difere de outras tipologias turísticas com que por vezes é comparado, nomeadamente o pro poor tourism e o peace through tourism, como à frente se verá. Depois de aprofundarmos os conceitos de ética, justiça, multiculturalismo, sustentabilidade, paz e direitos humanos, essenciais para enquadrar e problematizar o justice tourism, a nossa atenção debruçar-se-á na compreensão do núcleo desta tipologia turística. A sua essência, passa, assim, por ser uma forma justa de viajar entre membros de diferentes comunidades, visando atingir o entendimento mútuo, solidariedade e igualdade entre participantes. O justice tourism é um dos mais eficazes meios de promover o entendimento e respeito mútuos, bem como a educação, trocas económicas e proteção ambiental, tendo um papel central na conservação da vida comunitária. Com o aprofundamento de tais conceitos levaremos a nossa direção para o caso empírico da Guiné-Bissau. Com uma história marcadamente conturbada, marcada por sucessivos golpes de Estado, crises políticas, corrupção e pelo seu relevante papel no narcotráfico, o país parece não encontrar maneira de aproveitar os seus vastos recursos naturais e a conservação dos seus grupos étnicos para a promoção de um turismo sustentável que levaria a um maior desenvolvimento político, cultural e económico. Assim, compreendendo informação relativa às características que compõem a Guiné Bissau, perceberemos se será possível implementar no país este modelo de turismo que se denomina de justice tourism. In an increasingly globalized contemporary world, it is not surprising to notice the role that tourism has shown in a milieu where experiences not only belong to the realm of the local, thus beginning to get involved in various universal contacts and experiences. This results in an interculturalism that makes the sharing between tourist and community essential to the establishment of a tourist typology such as justice tourism. From here arise several factors that can, when maneuvered in a certain way, be manipulated for the undertaking of the communities' well-being and conservation. The primary goal of this dissertation is, therefore, to explain the recent tourist phenomenon that we call justice tourism, an alternative tourism model that is very different from other tourist typologies with which it is sometimes compared, namely poor pro tourism and peace through tourism, as we will see below. After dwelling into the concepts of ethics, justice, multiculturalism, sustainability, peace and human rights, essential to frame and problematize justice tourism, our attention will focus on understanding the core of this tourist typology. Its essence is, therefore, to be a fair way of traveling among members of different communities, aiming to achieve mutual understanding, solidarity and equality among participants. Justice tourism is one of the most effective means of promoting mutual understanding and respect, as well as education, economic exchange, and where environmental protection plays a central role in the conservation of life within the community. With the deepening of such concepts, we will redirect our attention to the empirical case of Guinea-Bissau. With a troubled history, marked by successive coups d'état, political crises, corruption and its relevant role in drug trafficking, the country does not seem to find a way to take advantage of its vast natural resources and the conservation of its ethnic groups for the promotion of a sustainable tourism that would lead to greater political, cultural and economic development. Thus, by collecting data regarding the characteristics that make up Guinea-Bissau, we will try to determine the possibilities of implementing justice tourism in the country.

Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado em Gestão apresentado à Faculdade de Economia No âmbito do Mestrado em Gestão da Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra, foi elaborado o presente documento que reflete o estágio curricular de 4 meses realizado na EDP-Gestão da Produção. A temática da RSE, escolhida como foco do presente relatório, surge por ter emergido como uma preocupação central a vários dos assuntos abordados durante o estágio e por se considerar um tema central para a empresa EDP, desde logo por fazer parte do Índice de Sustentabilidade Dow Jones. O objetivo do trabalho é o desenvolvimento das principais temáticas da RSE, apresentando-se a evolução conceptual, os principais modelos teóricos e a sistematização das teorias, assim como a abordagem Europeia e Nacional à RSE, a distinção dos conceitos de RSE, Sustentabilidade e Desenvolvimento Sustentável, as vantagens da implementação da RSE e os instrumentos e ferramentas que são utilizados pelas empresas – normas internacionais, relatórios de sustentabilidade, GRI Standards e índices de RSE. Por fim, analisa-se o impacto da RSE nas comunidades locais, recorrendo ao estudo do Relatório de Sustentabilidade da EDP. Pode-se inferir que as práticas de RSE têm um impacto bastante positivo nas comunidades locais, quer ao nível do seu bem-estar quer ao nível do desenvolvimento económico e que o desenvolvimento e investimento em práticas de Responsabilidade Social tem também um retorno positivo para a empresa. A EDP tem um elevado comprometimento com as comunidades locais ao desenvolver um conjunto de programas de investimento social, assumindo a sustentabilidade no seu ADN e contribuindo ativamente e de forma voluntária para os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS). As part of the Master’s degree in Management at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, this document was prepared to reflect the curricular internship of 4 months held at EDP-Production Management. The theme of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), chosen as the focus of this report, emerged as a central concern to several of the issues addressed during the internship and because it is considered a central theme for the EDP company, since it is part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. The aim of the work is the development of the main themes of CSR, presenting the conceptual evolution, the main theoretical models and the systematization of theories, as well as the European and National approach to CSR, the distinction of the concepts of CSR, Sustainability and Sustainable Development, the advantages of the implementation of CSR and the tools that are used by companies – international standards, sustainability reports, GRI Standards and CSR indexes. Finally, the impact of CSR on local communities is analyzed, using the study of EDP’s Sustainability Report. It can be inferred that CSR practices have a very positive impact on local communities, both in terms of their well-being and in terms of economic development and that the development and investment in Social Responsibility practices also have a positive return on the company. EDP has a high commitment to local communities by developing a set of social investment programs, assuming sustainability in its DNA and contributing actively and voluntarily to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Introdução: Nas últimas décadas, países e sistemas de saúde têm vindo a dedicar atenção crescente a práticas de planeamento que promovam o desenvolvimento sustentável. Reconhecendo os desafios específicos que se colocam ao planeamento em saúde, este artigo tem por objetivo contribuir para a reflexão sobre o conceito e características processuais e metodológicas do planeamento sustentável em saúde, com base nas principais mensagens recolhidas num painel de discussão do 5º Congresso Nacional de Medicina Tropical. .Material e métodos: Foram utilizadas as apresentações dos oradores convidados para o painel e as intervenções do debate. Complementar-mente, foram utilizadas fontes documentais resultantes de uma revisão narrativa da literatura. Todo o material foi sujeito a análise documental. Resultados e discussão: As abordagens participativas do planeamento em saúde, que integram a participação dos cidadãos e a articulação intersectorial, com particular enfoque na redução das iniquidades em saúde e no alcance da cobertura universal, foram consideradas entre as mais efetivas para o alcance de objetivos de saúde e de bem-estar alinhados com os princípios do desenvolvimento sustentável. Conclusão: A mobilização social e das comunidades no processo de planeamento em saúde parece ser facilitador da seleção e implementação de estratégias de saúde no contexto do desenvolvimento sustentável. Introduction: In recent decades, countries and health systems have been paying increasing attention to planning practice for sustainable development. Recognizing the specific challenges facing health planning, this article aims to contribute to the reflection on the concept and procedural and methodological characteristics of sustainable health planning, based on the main messages gathered in a panel discussion of the 5th National Congress of Tropical Medicine. Material and methods: We used the panel presentations and discussion interventions, in addition with documentary sources resulting from a narrative literature review. All material was subject to documentary analysis. Results and discussion: Participatory approaches to health planning, integrating community participation and intersectoral action, with a particular focus on reducing health inequities and achieving universal coverage, were considered to be among the most effective to achieve health and well-being goals aligned with the principles of sustainable development. Conclusion: Social and community mobilization in the health planning process seems to contribute to the selection and implementation of health strategies in the context of sustainable development. publishersversion published

Esta dissertação explora as potencialidades do enoturismo sustentável na região de Torres Vedras, em Portugal. Com base em uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema, foram identificadas as principais práticas de enoturismo sustentável e seu impacto positivo na conservação ambiental e no desenvolvimento socioeconómico, no concelho, em Portugal e também no mundo. A pesquisa foi realizada às entidades de enoturismo da região, onde foram coletados dados quantitativos por meio de questionários aos responsáveis por essas unidades. Os resultados mostram que apesar de ainda a região de Torres Vedras possui um grande potencial para o desenvolvimento de enoturismo sustentável, pois para além do trabalho que tem vindo a ser feito por parte das entidades publicas da região, conta ainda com suas paisagens naturais e ricas tradições ligadas à vitivinicultura. Tendo em conta que cada vez mais há uma procura por parte dos turistas em destinos e empresas que tenham preocupações e atitudes ambientais responsáveis, ainda há muito trabalho a ser feito por parte das empresas inquiridas neste estudo. Para além disso, ainda existe uma grande necessidade que todas as entidades locais trabalhem em conjunto para que exista um o desenvolvimento sustentável no concelho. O estudo conclui que o enoturismo sustentável pode ser uma estratégia importante para promover o desenvolvimento socioeconómico da região de Torres Vedras, ao mesmo tempo em que se preserva o património natural e cultural da região e ainda pode permitir ao concelho ser o primeiro destino de enoturismo sustentável no mundo. This dissertation explores the potential of sustainable wine tourism in the Torres Vedras region of Portugal. Based on a literature review on the topic, the main sustainable wine tourism practices and their positive impact on environmental conservation and socio-economic development, in the county, in Portugal and also worldwide, were identified. The research was carried out to the wine tourism entities in the region, where quantitative data was collected by means of questionnaires to those responsible for these units. The results show that although the Torres Vedras region still has great potential for the development of sustainable wine tourism, because besides the work that has been done by the public entities in the region, it still has its natural landscapes and rich traditions linked to vitiviniculture. Bearing in mind that there is an increasing demand from tourists for destinations and companies with responsible environmental concerns and attitudes, there is still a lot of work to be done by the companies surveyed in this study. Besides this, there is still a great need for all the local entities to work together so that there may be a sustainable development in the municipality. The study concludes that sustainable wine tourism can be an important strategy to promote the socio-economic development of the Torres Vedras region, while preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the region and can also allow the municipality to be the first sustainable wine tourism destination in the world.

O turismo tem desempenhado um importante papel no desenvolvimento de territórios, com importante relevo na realidade rural. Quando este se alia à cultura experienciada de uma forma criativa, o seu potencial é imenso com um poder de alcance bastante superior. Esta dissertação pretende explicitar o papel desta atividade no desenvolvimento e estrutura de zonas rurais e na forma sustentável que a mesma é desenvolvida, usando para o estudo o caso de Ponte de Lima. Neste sentido, numa primeira parte, é realizada uma revisão de literatura de forma a clarificar conceitos e introduzir a realidade em estudo, analisada numa segunda parte. Nesta é apresentado o território em análise, Ponte de Lima. Para tal, é exposta a sua realidade atual e a de há dez anos, cujo objetivo trata de entender a sua evolução e a maneira como a criatividade é percecionada como base da produção turística, percebendo se a mesma se assume sustentável a longo prazo. Para um melhor entendimento destas questões foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas a seis agentes institucionais ativos no turismo limiano. Com o levantamento da informação e as conclusões obtidas, pretende-se estabelecer uma análise dos esforços realizados, da sustentabilidade de toda a atividade e a influência da mesma sobre a gente e o território limiano, assim como dar destaque a uma análise S.W.O.T. Enquanto as forças e as oportunidades podem potenciar ainda mais a atividade turística, as fraquezas e as ameaças são olhados como pontos a precaver ou melhorar. O turismo em espaço rural, no caso particular de Ponte de Lima, revela-se bastante dependente da cultura, no entanto, quando a mesma é tratada com criatividade os produtos desenvolvidos identificados são em menor número. A vila demonstra ter uma série de oportunidades e características potenciadoras do turismo aliadas a esforços para que seja trabalhado de uma forma sustentável. Tourism has played an important role in the development of territories, with important relevance to the rural reality. When combined with an experienced culture in a creative way, its potential is immense and with an even greater reach. This dissertation aims to explain the role of this activity in the development and structure of rural areas and the sustainable way in which it is developed, as is the case of Ponte de Lima. In this sense, in a first stage, a revision of literature is undertaken to clarify concepts and introduce the reality that is being studied, analyzed on a second stage. At this stage the territory analyzed, Ponte de Lima, is presented. For that, present past ten years reality is exposed with the purpose of understanding its evolution and the way creativity is perceived based on “tourist production”, to understand if it assumes to be sustainable on the long term. For a better understanding of these questions semi structured interviews were undertaken to six institutional active Ponte de Lima tourist agents. With the gathering of information and conclusions obtained, we have the intention of establishing an analysis of the work executed, the sustainability of the all the activity and its influence on people and the territory of Ponte de Lima, as well as giving emphasis to a S.W.O.T analysis. While the forces of opportunity may enhance tourist activity even more, weaknesses and threats are regarded as issues to be prevented and improved. Tourism in rural areas, Ponte de Lima, depends largely on culture, nonetheless when it is worked with creativity the products developed identified are in smaller number. A pobreza energética aflige milhares de cidadãos em toda a Europa, incapazes de arcar com os custos energéticos para a manutenção do conforto térmico, em edifícios em bairros sociais, caracterizados pela ineficiência energética proveniente da baixa qualidade construtiva, ausência ou ineficiência de sistemas de climatização e de aquecimento das águas sanitárias, resultando em impactos sociais e económicos que reverberam em toda a sociedade. Nesse contexto, há imensos trabalhos de investigação, no sentido de se atingir a redução das necessidades energéticas de forma mais efetiva, bem como aumentar as condições de conforto dos habitantes, através de uma eficaz reabilitação energética das ineficientes envolventes dos edifícios de habitação social. Aumentar a qualidade construtiva, o conforto e mitigar a pobreza energética tão típica deste tipo de habitação, gera imensos benefícios aos cidadãos mais carentes e dependentes dos apoios sociais que consomem importantes recursos dos orçamentos dos governos. Há ainda uma reduzida aplicação de metodologias e de ferramentas de apoio ao projeto no processo de escolha das melhores soluções construtivas para a reabilitação de edifícios em bairros sociais, já que em muitos casos, as autarquias utilizam de forma pouco criteriosa soluções adotadas em experiências passadas para aplica-las em reabilitações futuras. Tendo definido a reabilitação energética das envolventes de edifícios em bairros sociais, como a mais efetiva ação no sentido de se reduzir a pobreza energética, mostrou-se necessário utilizar ferramentas e metodologias de apoio a projetos, como o EnergyPlus, DesignBulder e MARS aplicada no âmbito do projeto ARCAS e objeto de dissertação, capazes de ajudar na identificação das soluções mais adequadas e ainda permitir suas avaliações quanto ao cumprimento das exigências de sustentabilidade. Esse trabalho avaliou 03 cenários de reabilitação energética e identificou a melhor solução para reabilitação energética de edifícios localizados em bairros sociais, mediante aumento da eficiência energética e conforto das habitações, enquanto contribui para mitigar a pobreza energética nos bairros sociais, atendendo aos objetivos propostos nesse trabalho. Energy poverty affects thousands of citizens across Europe, unable to afford the energy costs for maintaining thermal comfort in buildings and dwellings in social neighbourhoods, characterized by energy inefficiency from poor constructive quality, absence or inefficiency of HVAC and DHW systems, resulting in social and economic impacts that reverberate throughout society. In this context, a lot of research was done to achieve the reduction of energy needs more effectively, as well as to increase the comfort conditions of the inhabitants, through an effective energy renovation of the poor envelops typical of social housing buildings. Increasing the constructive quality, comfort and mitigating the situation of energy poverty, so typical of this type of housing, generates large benefits to the most needy citizens and dependent on social support that consume important resources from the budgets of governments. Moreover, there is also a reduced application of methodologies and tools to support the project in the process of choosing the best constructive solutions for the renovation of buildings and housing in social neighbourhoods, since in many cases, municipalities use solutions adopted from past experiences without adapting them to the present situation. To support the renovation project, it is more effective to use some multicriteria analysis methodologies and tools, which are capable of helping to identify the most appropriate solutions and allow their assessment regarding compliance with sustainability requirements. With this dissertation, and under the ARCAS project, the MARS methodology, DesignBuilder and EnergyPlus, it was possible to identify the most effective action to mitigate energy poverty in some social housing neighbourhoods in Braga. This work evaluated 03 energy rehabilitation scenarios and identified the best solution for energy rehabilitation of buildings to be applied to social neighborhoods in Braga, resulting in increased energy efficiency and comfort of homes and at the same time contributing to mitigate energy poverty, meeting the objectives proposed in this work.
