A água é um bem cada vez mais escasso e no clima mediterrânico característico dos países do Sul da Europa, o fenómeno das alterações climáticas tem acentuado a irregularidade e imprevisibilidade da precipitação. Como tal, respondendo ao desafio da segurança alimentar, é necessário recorrer ao regadio para garantir o sucesso das produções agrícolas. Assim, uma das preocupações crescentes dos regantes é o uso eficiente da água. Atualmente, não existe um sistema de avaliação que permita às entidades gestoras medir a eficiência do uso da água e da energia nos Aproveitamentos Hidroagrícolas (AH), ao contrário do que acontece por exemplo no sector urbano. Neste sentido “nasceu” o projeto de investigação AGIR - Avaliação da Eficiência do Uso da Água e da Energia em Aproveitamentos Hidroagrícolas, coordenado pela FENAREG. No âmbito deste projeto, a tarefa 1 da primeira fase consistiu no levantamento e caracterização preliminar dos AH, incidindo sobre algumas características, como por exemplo, físicas (e.g., áreas, comprimento dos sistemas em canal e em conduta), volumes de água fornecidos para rega e relativas a culturas (e.g. tipo e ocupação) dos AH, apresentando-se os principais resultados obtidos no presente artigo. Agriculture is the largest user of water at both global and national levels, and its total water use can reach up to 70% in southern European countries. Water is an increasingly scarce natural resource, and in the Mediterranean climate, the climate changes have increased the irregularity and unpredictability of precipitation. Thus, Portuguese agriculture depends on the existence of irrigation, being one of the main concerns of the irrigators the efficiency of water use. However, an assessment system does not currently exist, unlike in the urban sector, that allows utilities of State Irrigation Projects (SIP) to assess the water and energy efficiency of their systems. In this context, the AGIR project - Water Use and Energy Efficiencies’ Assessment in State Irrigation Projects was “born”, being coordinated by FENAREG. Within the first task of the first phase of this project, a preliminary survey and characterization of the State Irrigation Projects was carried, focusing on certain characteristics, such as physical (e.g., areas, length of canals and pipe), water volumes and crop (e.g., type and soil occupation) of SIP. The impacts of global climate change risks and local practices on the Amazon and Cerrado biomes are of particular concern, as they provide vital ecosystem services to Brazil, the South American region, and the world. The Brazil Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR) examines the implications of climate change and climate action for Brazil's development objectives and priorities. It identifies opportunities for Brazil to achieve both its development goals and its climate commitments. It lays out a combination of sectoral and economy-wide policy reforms, as well as targeted investments in near- and medium-term mitigation and adaptation measures to achieve more rapid and inclusive development with lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The idea is to maximize synergies between climate and development objectives, while addressing trade-offs among policy objectives and key transition challenges.

Introduction This project aims to address the impacts of climate change on the built environment by developing a set of future Brazilian EPW (Energy Plus Weather Format) files and a dashboard to interpret and evaluate the data. The future climate files were obtained using the Future Weather Generator (FWG) [1] with climate projections for Brazilian cities, integrating these projections into a code pipeline for automation. In this part of the project, thermal comfort indices, such as the Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI) and the Discomfort Index (DI), were also evaluated to understand future thermal comfort conditions. The methodology followed the structure available in the future-EPW-analysis repository: Climate-One-Building (COB) web-scrapping for all available Brazilian EPW files (we recommend doing this carefully so as not to damage the COB infrastructure); Automatic organisation of all EPW files in a folder, extracting them from the ZIP format; Simulation of future climate files using FutureWeatherGenerator [1] in a line of code with default parameters (shown in Table 1); Organisation of all available EPWs (original and simulated) in a single database; Calculation of thermal comfort indices using pythermalcomfort [2]. The main objective is to provide researchers, policymakers and professionals with a comprehensive tool for assessing and mitigating the impacts of climate change in different Brazilian cities, offering accurate data for thermal comfort and energy efficiency modelling. The methodology involves generating future EPW files, validating them against existing literature and visualising the results through a user-friendly dashboard. The study highlights the importance of adaptive and climate-resilient strategies in urban planning and building design. Expected climate changes in Brazil include increased dry bulb temperature and variations in relative humidity, radiation and wind speed in the different bioclimatic zones. The dashboard has been designed to simplify the visualisation of future climate data, focusing on the main climate variables, thermal comfort indices and data visualisation. It allows users to filter by city and automatically calculate all the indices, providing detailed analyses and comparisons of different scenarios. By offering a free, open-access, multi-platform, extensible, customisable and easy-to-maintain tool, the project aims to facilitate continuous updates, new features and corrections. This tool supports decision-making in public policy and urban planning, promoting a more sustainable and resilient built environment in the face of climate change. 2. A partir da observação participante de Thiollent (1986), este trabalho estuda 12 projetos colaborativos do Ecossistema da Moda Sustentável de Porto Alegre, com o objetivo de promover descontinuidades sistêmicas, no sistema de moda local. A sustentabilidade, aqui, é compreendida pela perspectiva da ecologia profunda de Guatarri (1990) e Capra e Luisi (2014), e as análises são feitas com base nos conceitos de colaboração de Manzini (2017), e dos papéis para inovação social de Freire (2017). Os principais resultados alcançados foram os diferentes formatos e dinâmicas encontradas na análise dos encontros e percursos projetuais, para germinação dos projetos. Identificou-se que os processos que levam aos encontros colaborativos têm como principal característica o equilíbrio entre vínculos fortes e fracos, e um envolvimento comum ao grupo de acordo com o objetivo do projeto. Para que esses encontros evoluam em projetos para descontinuidades sistêmicas, é necessária a infraestruturação dos processos, vínculos fortes, envolvimento ativo e diversidade e transparência nos papéis a serem exercidos. This research discusses the theme of sustainability and collaboration, in creative fashion ecosystems. From the participant observation of Thiollent (1986), this work studies 12 collaborative projects of the Sustainable Fashion Ecosystem of Porto Alegre, with the objective of promoting systemic discontinuities, in the local fashion system. Sustainability, here, is understood from the perspective of deep ecology by Guatarri (1990) and Capra and Luisi (2014), and the analyzes are made based on the concepts of collaboration by Manzini (2017), and the roles for social innovation by Freire (2017). The main results achieved were the different formats and dynamics found in the analysis of the meetings and project paths, for the germination of the projects. It was identified that the main characteristic of the processes that lead to collaborative meetings is the balance between strong and weak bonds, and a common involvement of the group according to the project's objective. For these meetings to evolve into projects for systemic discontinuities, it is necessary to process infrastructure, strong bonds, active involvement and diversity and transparency in the roles to be played. A água é um bem cada vez mais escasso e no clima mediterrânico característico dos países do Sul da Europa, o fenómeno das alterações climáticas tem acentuado a irregularidade e imprevisibilidade da precipitação. Como tal, respondendo ao desafio da segurança alimentar, é necessário recorrer ao regadio para garantir o sucesso das produções agrícolas. Assim, uma das preocupações crescentes dos regantes é o uso eficiente da água. Atualmente, não existe um sistema de avaliação que permita às entidades gestoras medir a eficiência do uso da água e da energia nos Aproveitamentos Hidroagrícolas (AH), ao contrário do que acontece por exemplo no sector urbano. Neste sentido “nasceu” o projeto de investigação AGIR - Avaliação da Eficiência do Uso da Água e da Energia em Aproveitamentos Hidroagrícolas, coordenado pela FENAREG. No âmbito deste projeto, a tarefa 1 da primeira fase consistiu no levantamento e caracterização preliminar dos AH, incidindo sobre algumas características, como por exemplo, físicas (e.g., áreas, comprimento dos sistemas em canal e em conduta), volumes de água fornecidos para rega e relativas a culturas (e.g. tipo e ocupação) dos AH, apresentando-se os principais resultados obtidos no presente artigo. Agriculture is the largest user of water at both global and national levels, and its total water use can reach up to 70% in southern European countries. Water is an increasingly scarce natural resource, and in the Mediterranean climate, the climate changes have increased the irregularity and unpredictability of precipitation. Thus, Portuguese agriculture depends on the existence of irrigation, being one of the main concerns of the irrigators the efficiency of water use. However, an assessment system does not currently exist, unlike in the urban sector, that allows utilities of State Irrigation Projects (SIP) to assess the water and energy efficiency of their systems. In this context, the AGIR project - Water Use and Energy Efficiencies’ Assessment in State Irrigation Projects was “born”, being coordinated by FENAREG. Within the first task of the first phase of this project, a preliminary survey and characterization of the State Irrigation Projects was carried, focusing on certain characteristics, such as physical (e.g., areas, length of canals and pipe), water volumes and crop (e.g., type and soil occupation) of SIP. The Brazil Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR) examines the implications of climate change and climate action for Brazil's development objectives and priorities. It identifies opportunities for Brazil to achieve both its development goals and its climate commitments. It lays out a combination of sectoral and economy-wide policy reforms, as well as targeted investments in near- and medium-term mitigation and adaptation measures to achieve more rapid and inclusive development with lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The idea is to maximize synergies between climate and development objectives, while addressing trade-offs among policy objectives and key transition challenges.

Introduction This project aims to address the impacts of climate change on the built environment by developing a set of future Brazilian EPW (Energy Plus Weather Format) files and a dashboard to interpret and evaluate the data. The future climate files were obtained using the Future Weather Generator (FWG) [1] with climate projections for Brazilian cities, integrating these projections into a code pipeline for automation. In this part of the project, thermal comfort indices, such as the Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI) and the Discomfort Index (DI), were also evaluated to understand future thermal comfort conditions. The methodology followed the structure available in the future-EPW-analysis repository: Climate-One-Building (COB) web-scrapping for all available Brazilian EPW files (we recommend doing this carefully so as not to damage the COB infrastructure); Automatic organisation of all EPW files in a folder, extracting them from the ZIP format; Simulation of future climate files using FutureWeatherGenerator [1] in a line of code with default parameters (shown in Table 1); Organisation of all available EPWs (original and simulated) in a single database; Calculation of thermal comfort indices using pythermalcomfort [2]. The main objective is to provide researchers, policymakers and professionals with a comprehensive tool for assessing and mitigating the impacts of climate change in different Brazilian cities, offering accurate data for thermal comfort and energy efficiency modelling. The methodology involves generating future EPW files, validating them against existing literature and visualising the results through a user-friendly dashboard. The study highlights the importance of adaptive and climate-resilient strategies in urban planning and building design. Expected climate changes in Brazil include increased dry bulb temperature and variations in relative humidity, radiation and wind speed in the different bioclimatic zones. The dashboard has been designed to simplify the visualisation of future climate data, focusing on the main climate variables, thermal comfort indices and data visualisation. It allows users to filter by city and automatically calculate all the indices, providing detailed analyses and comparisons of different scenarios. By offering a free, open-access, multi-platform, extensible, customisable and easy-to-maintain tool, the project aims to facilitate continuous updates, new features and corrections. A partir da observação participante de Thiollent (1986), este trabalho estuda 12 projetos colaborativos do Ecossistema da Moda Sustentável de Porto Alegre, com o objetivo de promover descontinuidades sistêmicas, no sistema de moda local. A sustentabilidade, aqui, é compreendida pela perspectiva da ecologia profunda de Guatarri (1990) e Capra e Luisi (2014), e as análises são feitas com base nos conceitos de colaboração de Manzini (2017), e dos papéis para inovação social de Freire (2017). Os principais resultados alcançados foram os diferentes formatos e dinâmicas encontradas na análise dos encontros e percursos projetuais, para germinação dos projetos. Identificou-se que os processos que levam aos encontros colaborativos têm como principal característica o equilíbrio entre vínculos fortes e fracos, e um envolvimento comum ao grupo de acordo com o objetivo do projeto. Para que esses encontros evoluam em projetos para descontinuidades sistêmicas, é necessária a infraestruturação dos processos, vínculos fortes, envolvimento ativo e diversidade e transparência nos papéis a serem exercidos. This research discusses the theme of sustainability and collaboration, in creative fashion ecosystems. From the participant observation of Thiollent (1986), this work studies 12 collaborative projects of the Sustainable Fashion Ecosystem of Porto Alegre, with the objective of promoting systemic discontinuities, in the local fashion system. Sustainability, here, is understood from the perspective of deep ecology by Guatarri (1990) and Capra and Luisi (2014), and the analyzes are made based on the concepts of collaboration by Manzini (2017), and the roles for social innovation by Freire (2017). The main results achieved were the different formats and dynamics found in the analysis of the meetings and project paths, for the germination of the projects. It was identified that the main characteristic of the processes that lead to collaborative meetings is the balance between strong and weak bonds, and a common involvement of the group according to the project's objective. For these meetings to evolve into projects for systemic discontinuities, it is necessary to process infrastructure, strong bonds, active involvement and diversity and transparency in the roles to be played.
