description Publicationkeyboard_double_arrow_right Article 2023 SerbiaPublisher:Elsevier BV Hezam, Ibrahim M.; Mishra, Arunodaya Raj; Rani, Pratibha; Saha, Abhijit; Smarandache, Florentin; Pamučar, Dragan; As a clean and renewable energy, bioenergy is one of the most prospective alternatives to fossil fuels. Therefore, it has been received much attention and occupied a considerable status in the world's energy consumption. Moreover, the sustainable bioenergy production can effectively decrease the risk of energy poverty and contribute to the economic and ecological benefits, particularly in developing countries. However, the selection of bioenergy production technologies (BPTs) has significant challenges and uncertainties due to various factors. Thus, the aim of this study is to evaluate the BPTs and choose the most suitable and sustainable alternative among them. For this purpose, an integrated decision-making framework is proposed under single-valued neutrosophic environment. In the present approach, the method based on the removal effects of criteria (MEREC) and stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (SWARA) weighting integrated procedure (MASWIP) is introduced to compute the relative significances of the considered sustainability indicators. Then, the MASWIP-based complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) is introduced to prioritize the BPTs from single-valued neutrosophic perspective. Further, the present framework is implemented on a case study of BPTs evaluation problem with uncertain, inconsistent and indeterminate information, which approves the effectiveness and practicality of introduced method. To assess its robustness and stability, sensitivity and comparative studies are performed. The advantages of the developed method are emphasized in terms of stability and reliability by comparisons with five existing approaches, and the effectiveness of the present approach is verified. The findings of the study prove that the application of single-valued neutrosophic MASWIP-based COPRAS method in BPT selection is robust.

Also, we propose score, certainty and accuracy functions to compare the bipolar neutrosophic sets. Then, we develop the bipolar neutrosophic weighted average operator and bipolar neutrosophic weighted geometric operatr to aggregate the bipolar neutrosophic information. Furthermore, based on the neutrosophic weighted geometric(aritmetic) operatr and the score, certainty and accuracy functions, we develop a bipolar neutrosophic multiple criteria decision-making approach, in which the evaluation values of alternatives on the attributes take the form of bipolar neutrosophic numbers to select the most desirable one(s). Finally, a numerical example of the method was given to demonstrate the application and effectiveness of the developed method. Thanks

Recently, there has been a lot of interest in graph energy research. Previous literature has suggested integrating energy, Laplacian energy, and signless Laplacian energy with single-valued neutrosophic graphs (SVNGs). This integration is used to solve problems that are characterized by indeterminate and inconsistent information. However, when the information is endowed with both positive and negative uncertainty, then bipolar single-valued neutrosophic sets (BSVNs) constitute an appropriate knowledge representation of this framework. A BSVNs is a generalized bipolar fuzzy structure that deals with positive and negative uncertainty in real-life problems with a larger domain. In contrast to the previous study, which directly used truth and indeterminate and false membership, this paper proposes integrating energy, Laplacian energy, and signless Laplacian energy with BSVNs to graph structure considering the positive and negative membership degree to greatly improve decisions in certain problems. Moreover, this paper intends to elaborate on characteristics of eigenvalues, upper and lower bound of energy, Laplacian energy, and signless Laplacian energy. We introduced the concept of a bipolar single-valued neutrosophic graph (BSVNG) for an energy graph and discussed its relevant ideas with the help of examples. Furthermore, the significance of using bipolar concepts over non-bipolar concepts is compared numerically. Finally, the application of energy, Laplacian energy, and signless Laplacian energy in BSVNG are demonstrated in selecting renewable energy sources, while optimal selection is suggested to illustrate the proposed method. This indicates the usefulness and practicality of this proposed approach in real life.

The present study employs the neutrosophic set for decision making and evaluation method (DEMATEL) to analyze and determine the factors influencing the selection of SCM suppliers. DEMATEL is considered a proactive approach to improve performance and achieve competitive advantages. This study applies the neutrosophic set Theory to adjust general judgment, using a new scale to present each value. A case study implementing the proposed methodology is presented (i.e. selecting the best supplier for a distribution company). This research was designed by neutrosophic DEMATEL data collection survey of experts, interviewing professionals in management, procurement and production. The results analyzed in our research prove that quality is the most influential criterion in the selection of suppliers.

While the penetration of renewable energy resources is increasing within the national and regional energy mix, emerging digitalization technologies, such as artificial intelligence and blockchain technology are shaping modern power systems. Especially blockchain technology has a very high potential to disrupt the current and future energy sector landscape by enabling various use cases in this domain. This paper aims to prioritize different energy use cases where blockchain technology can actively be utilized to create additional value. This study proposes a Type-2 Neutrosophic Number (T2NN) based Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution (EDAS) to evaluate and rank a set of existing use cases of an energy blockchain system. Testing and validation of the model is done through a comparison against one alternative T2NN based Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) model and an existing approach from literature. In addition, a sensitivity analysis is performed, revealing that changing criteria weightings do not affect the ranking order of the use cases of the energy blockchain system. Prioritizing the use cases can assist the companies, standardization bodies, and related government authorities to make better decisions for their operations, such as ranking the investment decisions.

Misinformation and biased information significantly impact public perception and political decisions, especially on critical issues such as climate change and environmental conservation. This study aims to understand how indeterminacy and contradiction influence public perception and policy formulation by applying neutrosophic theory to model the complexity and multi-dimensionality of ignorance. Using neutrosophic Likert scales, we capture a nuanced spectrum of opinions on the scientific certainty of human impact on climate change. The results are analyzed through a k-means clustering algorithm to identify patterns and segment participants into groups based on their levels of truth, indeterminacy, and falsehood. This approach reveals deeper insights into public perceptions and aids in evaluating their implications for effective communication and policy-making.

By using single-valued neutrosophic numbers, the EDAS method can be more efficient for solving complex problems whose solution requires assessment and prediction, because truth- and falsity-membership functions can be used for expressing the level of satisfaction and dissatisfaction about an attitude. In addition, the indeterminacy-membership function can be used to point out the reliability of the information given with truth- and falsity-membership functions. Thus, the proposed extension of the EDAS method allows the use of a smaller number of complex evaluation criteria. The suitability and applicability of the proposed approach are presented through three illustrative examples.

This paper provides a multi criteria group decision making (MCGDM) proposed technique of the ANP (analytical network process) method and the VIKOR (ViseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje) method under neutrosophic environment for dealing with incomplete information and high order imprecision. This is done by using of the triangular neutrosophic numbers (TriNs) to present the linguistic variables based on opinions of experts and decision makers. The aim is to solve the problem of supplier selection in sustainable supplier chain management (SSCM). The suggested technique consists of two phases. First, we use the ANP method to calculate the weights of criteria and sub criteria. Second, with the aid of VIKOR method and with obtained weights of the criteria and sub criteria from step one, we can find the solution. A case study is used to present the decision process in detail. Our proposed method is compared directly with the entropy method to justify our approach. We also use genetic algorithm to compute predicted values for five selected cities while varying economic, environmental and social criteria. Explanations of forecasted outputs and limitation for research have been presented. Our objective is to demonstrate that our proposal can calculate key measurement for major import and export cities, as well as to provide fair and reliable forecasted outcomes.

description Publicationkeyboard_double_arrow_right Article 2023 SerbiaPublisher:Elsevier BV Hezam, Ibrahim M.; Mishra, Arunodaya Raj; Rani, Pratibha; Saha, Abhijit; Smarandache, Florentin; Pamučar, Dragan; As a clean and renewable energy, bioenergy is one of the most prospective alternatives to fossil fuels.
