Las soluciones convencionales que se emplean son la cesión de calor a una corriente de agua, y su recirculación a través de torres de refrigeración, o bien a una corriente de aire atmosférico, a través de un aero-refrigerador. Si bien el empleo de torres de refrigeración implica un menor consumo de energía pues origina una menor presión de condensación, existen una serie de implicaciones medioambientales asociadas a su funcionamiento que las están cuestionando. En particular por los brotes de legionelosis asociados a este tipo de equipos. El aero-refrigerador con pre-enfriamiento adiabático opera como los aero-enfriadores secos mejorando sus prestaciones con un pre-enfriamiento adiabático del aire de entrada. La temperatura seca del aire de entrada se consigue disminuir a medida que pasa a través de un relleno evaporativo especialmente diseñado para humectar y enfriar la corriente de aire de entrada al equipo sin formación de aerosoles ni agua arrastrada sobre el serpentín seco. Este trabajo muestra el estudio experimental de un prototipo de aero-refrigerador con pre-enfriamiento adiabático construido en la cubierta del Edificio Torrepinet de la Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche. El propósito final es el de disponer de un modelo que caracterice su comportamiento térmico con objeto de poder comparar las implicaciones energéticas derivadas de la sustitución de los sistemas de condensación tradicionales por un aero-refrigeradores con preenfriamiento adiabático. La construcción del prototipo ha sido posible gracias a la financiación obtenida de la Dirección General de Investigacion del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación a través del proyecto ENE2007-68106-C02-02. La instrumentación empleada para llevar a cabo el trabajo experimental se ha financiado a través del Proyecto “Estudio energético de un sistema alternativo para la condensación en ciclos de refrigeración: el aero-refrigerador con preenfriamiento adiabático” de la Convocatoria 2009 de Proyectos Bancaja-UMH para grupos precompetitivos.

El objetivo fue evaluar si el área académica del alumno, la modalidad de realización de su proyecto o el perfil académico de su director, pueden influir significativamente en un mejor rendimiento académico en el Trabajo Fin de Máster y, por lo tanto, una mayor diferenciación en su formación pedagógica inicial es recomendable. Aparte del rendimiento académico y el área académica de origen, en el estudio se tiene en cuenta la modalidad de proyecto realizado, el área formativa del director del Trabajo Fin de Máster y la coincidencia con el área académica previa del alumno. Los resultados muestran diferencias significativas en el rendimiento académico, según el área académica del alumno y la modalidad de realización del proyecto. Los alumnos provenientes de economía y tecnología son los que muestran mayores dificultades en adaptarse al ámbito pedagógico, mientras que los Trabajos Fin de Máster de la modalidad de Estado de la Cuestión son los que obtienen peores resultados. Se concluye que una educación más adaptada a cada área formativa previa del alumno puede ser beneficiosa.

Sánchez-Valente;En este trabajo se presenta un método sencillo y económicamente viable para la producción de la hidrotalcita. Los sólidos sintetizados por este nuevo método, denominado mezcla de óxidos, (MOX), se compararon con uno obtenido por el método convencional de coprecipitación. Por medio de difracción de rayos X de polvos se comprobó la obtención de la fase tipo hidrotalcita con cantidades despreciables de boehmita. Además, por adsorción-desorción de nitrógeno a -196°C se corroboró la similitud de las propiedades texturales de las muestras preparadas por ambos métodos.

Ruelas Ruiza; Nicolás Velázquez Limón; Ricardo Beltrán Chacón;En el presente trabajo se desarrolla y aplica un nuevo modelo geométrico de un concentrador solar de foco fijo (CSFF) en coordenadas cartesianas, al cual se le incorpora el modelo térmico de un receptor de cavidad para determinar las dimensiones de diseño del CSFF, con el propósito de satisfacer la demanda de energía térmica de un motor Stirling de 3 kWe. La validación del modelo propuesto se realiza a partir de resultados experimentales, utilizando la información reportada sobre el concentrador WGA500 y receptor del sistema CNRS-PROMES. Los resultados del estudio paramétrico proporcionan las dimensiones de diseño del CSFF, que de manera semejante al concentrador de disco parabólico, la mayor concentración se obtiene con un ángulo de borde de 45°, pero con la diferencia de que el receptor de cavidad se encuentra con una inclinación 80.7° en posición fija, obteniéndose una eficiencia térmica de dicho receptor del 88%. El modelo matemático y metodología propuesta pueden ser utilizados para diseñar CSFF acoplados a receptores de cavidad para aplicaciones distintas al motor Stirling, solo ajustando los parámetros de diseño y condiciones de operación según los requerimientos de la nueva aplicación.

Arriola;En este trabajo se utilizó el método Pi-Buckingham para obtener un modelo matemático simple que prediga el flujo de sólidos en un novedoso dispositivo de control conocido como Válvula-S (o válvula que escupe). Los parámetros del modelo son: el diámetro de los sólidos (arroz, café verde y lenteja), su densidad, el diámetro relativo del conducto horizontal de la válvula, la presión de operación y la velocidad superficial del aire. Se usaron dos prototipos de válvula-S construidas con tubo de acrílico de 0.04 y 0.02 m de diámetro. Los experimentos se llevaron a cabo a temperatura ambiente y con dos presiones de operación de 7 y 8 x 105 Pa. El modelo obtenido predice razonablemente el comportamiento del sistema para los sólidos granulares utilizados (85% para café, 97 % para lenteja y 98% para arroz).

Las soluciones convencionales que se emplean son la cesión de calor a una corriente de agua, y su recirculación a través de torres de refrigeración, o bien a una corriente de aire atmosférico, a través de un aero-refrigerador. Si bien el empleo de torres de refrigeración implica un menor consumo de energía pues origina una menor presión de condensación, existen una serie de implicaciones medioambientales asociadas a su funcionamiento que las están cuestionando. En particular por los brotes de legionelosis asociados a este tipo de equipos. El aero-refrigerador con pre-enfriamiento adiabático opera como los aero-enfriadores secos mejorando sus prestaciones con un pre-enfriamiento adiabático del aire de entrada. La temperatura seca del aire de entrada se consigue disminuir a medida que pasa a través de un relleno evaporativo especialmente diseñado para humectar y enfriar la corriente de aire de entrada al equipo sin formación de aerosoles ni agua arrastrada sobre el serpentín seco. Este trabajo muestra el estudio experimental de un prototipo de aero-refrigerador con pre-enfriamiento adiabático construido en la cubierta del Edificio Torrepinet de la Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche. El propósito final es el de disponer de un modelo que caracterice su comportamiento térmico con objeto de poder comparar las implicaciones energéticas derivadas de la sustitución de los sistemas de condensación tradicionales por un aero-refrigeradores con preenfriamiento adiabático. La construcción del prototipo ha sido posible gracias a la financiación obtenida de la Dirección General de Investigacion del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación a través del proyecto ENE2007-68106-C02-02. La instrumentación empleada para llevar a cabo el trabajo experimental se ha financiado a través del Proyecto “Estudio energético de un sistema alternativo para la condensación en ciclos de refrigeración: el aero-refrigerador con preenfriamiento adiabático” de la Convocatoria 2009 de Proyectos Bancaja-UMH para grupos precompetitivos.

El objetivo fue evaluar si el área académica del alumno, la modalidad de realización de su proyecto o el perfil académico de su director, pueden influir significativamente en un mejor rendimiento académico en el Trabajo Fin de Máster y, por lo tanto, una mayor diferenciación en su formación pedagógica inicial es recomendable. Aparte del rendimiento académico y el área académica de origen, en el estudio se tiene en cuenta la modalidad de proyecto realizado, el área formativa del director del Trabajo Fin de Máster y la coincidencia con el área académica previa del alumno. Los resultados muestran diferencias significativas en el rendimiento académico, según el área académica del alumno y la modalidad de realización del proyecto. Los alumnos provenientes de economía y tecnología son los que muestran mayores dificultades en adaptarse al ámbito pedagógico, mientras que los Trabajos Fin de Máster de la modalidad de Estado de la Cuestión son los que obtienen peores resultados. Se concluye que una educación más adaptada a cada área formativa previa del alumno puede ser beneficiosa.

Sánchez-Valente;En este trabajo se presenta un método sencillo y económicamente viable para la producción de la hidrotalcita. Los sólidos sintetizados por este nuevo método, denominado mezcla de óxidos, (MOX), se compararon con uno obtenido por el método convencional de coprecipitación. Por medio de difracción de rayos X de polvos se comprobó la obtención de la fase tipo hidrotalcita con cantidades despreciables de boehmita. Además, por adsorción-desorción de nitrógeno a -196°C se corroboró la similitud de las propiedades texturales de las muestras preparadas por ambos métodos.

Ruelas Ruiza; Nicolás Velázquez Limón; Ricardo Beltrán Chacón;En el presente trabajo se desarrolla y aplica un nuevo modelo geométrico de un concentrador solar de foco fijo (CSFF) en coordenadas cartesianas, al cual se le incorpora el modelo térmico de un receptor de cavidad para determinar las dimensiones de diseño del CSFF, con el propósito de satisfacer la demanda de energía térmica de un motor Stirling de 3 kWe. La validación del modelo propuesto se realiza a partir de resultados experimentales, utilizando la información reportada sobre el concentrador WGA500 y receptor del sistema CNRS-PROMES. Los resultados del estudio paramétrico proporcionan las dimensiones de diseño del CSFF, que de manera semejante al concentrador de disco parabólico, la mayor concentración se obtiene con un ángulo de borde de 45°, pero con la diferencia de que el receptor de cavidad se encuentra con una inclinación 80.7° en posición fija, obteniéndose una eficiencia térmica de dicho receptor del 88%. El modelo matemático y metodología propuesta pueden ser utilizados para diseñar CSFF acoplados a receptores de cavidad para aplicaciones distintas al motor Stirling, solo ajustando los parámetros de diseño y condiciones de operación según los requerimientos de la nueva aplicación.

Arriola;En este trabajo se utilizó el método Pi-Buckingham para obtener un modelo matemático simple que prediga el flujo de sólidos en un novedoso dispositivo de control conocido como Válvula-S (o válvula que escupe). Los parámetros del modelo son: el diámetro de los sólidos (arroz, café verde y lenteja), su densidad, el diámetro relativo del conducto horizontal de la válvula, la presión de operación y la velocidad superficial del aire. Se usaron dos prototipos de válvula-S construidas con tubo de acrílico de 0.04 y 0.02 m de diámetro. Los experimentos se llevaron a cabo a temperatura ambiente y con dos presiones de operación de 7 y 8 x 105 Pa. El modelo obtenido predice razonablemente el comportamiento del sistema para los sólidos granulares utilizados (85% para café, 97 % para lenteja y 98% para arroz).
