On occasion, disasters that occur at very gentle slopes and disasters that flow long distance, associated with destructive energy, are observed. In such cases, the trigger layer often consists of volcanic soils with extremely high void ratios and external triggers, including earthquake or heavy rainfall, increase the risk of slope disasters. These volcanic soils are often characterised by an extremely loose structure and are either retained mainly by weak cementation or are composed of crushable particles having intra voids. Although the cause of destructive long-distance flow has been explained by liquefaction, there are some observed disasters in which the trigger layer was not fully saturated, i.e. liquefaction should not be considered as a major cause. Focusing on the fact that long-distance flow or gentle slope flow, disasters are triggered by volcanic soil layers of extremely loose structure, artificial loose soil samples were prepared in the laboratory. These samples were prepared with cementation between particles and with crushable particles. In this study, deformation and strength characteristics of the extremely loose soils were investigated by conducting CD triaxial tests. It is revealed that such extremely loose soils can be vulnerable after the weakly cemented structure collapses as a result of external factors such as earthquakes.

Building energy consumption monitoring during operation phase often reveals that energy consumption is sensitive to building spaces use and systems operation quality, especially for buildings with high energy performance characteristics [7]. Other investigations show the impact of building users’ behaviour on energy consumption [28]. These factors must be added to climate factors for energy consumption prediction during operation phase. Number of factors and possible combinations is very high. Building energy modeling is limited regarding this issue and metamodeling has been used to solve this problem [25]. We developed metamodels that are polynomial functions using D-optimal design of experiment (DOE) approach. Such metamodels can become operational tools to use in the IPMVP framework, associated with a M&V plan. This paper shows the application of the method on a cultural building that comprises numerous systems and usages. We obtain a reliable metamodel of the energy consumption as a function of climate, operation, and space use factors. which meets IPMVP [11] and ASHRAE Guideline 14 [3] modeling uncertainties criteria. We also determine the global uncertainty resulting from predictors’ uncertainties propagation and modelling uncertainty associated with the metamodel.

The existing research literature has not yet reached a clear conclusion about the impact of high-tech qualification certification on enterprise innovation performance. This paper uses the Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2013 to 2018 as a research sample. Through the propensity score matching method, it is found that the implementation of the high-tech enterprise identification policy has an effect on the innovation performance of the enterprise, especially for strategic innovation represented by the number of non-invention patent applications. The sub-sample results show that the identification policy has a more obvious impact on the innovation performance of non-state-owned enterprises, young enterprises and larger enterprises. Finally, based on the results of the research, it is proposed to continuously improve the identification policy, guide enterprises to make substantial innovations, and implement hierarchical tax rates for different types of enterprises to help improve the identification policies for high-tech enterprises.

This testifies to the crisis state of civilization, which can be more accurately described as a crisis of man himself. Based on the principle of the interdependence of anthropology and culture, the author proposes to include in the orbit of theological understanding not only the social and humanitarian sphere of civilization life, but also natural science, as well as the technosphere. The article proposes a variant of the classification of traditions and methods of broadcasting their content, which makes it possible to look at science as part of a cultural tradition that builds relationships with a spiritual tradition as a core one. But, first of all, the structuring of traditions in society makes it possible to clearly see their hierarchy and mutual influences. Especially valuable is the isolation of the spiritual tradition and the separation of the religious from it. This provides a key to understanding many processes in the history of civilization - in the sphere of religious life, in culture, in socio-political processes. Traditions such as religious, cultural and social build their own relationships with spiritual tradition. The forms of these relations create a multidimensional characteristic of the state of society in a given historical period.

The present work evaluates the performance of different decentralized ventilation control strategies in the local Norway climate. Evaluation is performed using a monthly time-step energy analysis and the IDA-ICE simulation tool for a comparative primary energy analysis on the strategy combinations. Primary energy comparison is conducted with respect to a centralized constant air volume system for comparative analysis. The evaluation results show that the representative decentralized ventilation (DV) system has the most significant energy performance. The lower heat recovery efficiency significantly impacts on the ventilation energy of DV system in the cold climate, and the low specific fan power can efficiently be used for zone cooling in summer.
