description Publicationkeyboard_double_arrow_right Article 2021Publisher:Zenodo Authors: Suslenco, Alina; In this paper we analyzed the essence and content of a business strategy applied in the field of tourism in order to increase the sustainability of companies in this field. Thus, in order to achieve competitiveness, world leaders develop competitive business strategies and apply them with particular attention in order to increase it but also to maintain a leading position on the market. Thus, the business strategy is a core of sustainability, of sustainability in the business field and must be applied with special attention but also always adapted to the changes in the market. The research methodology focused on the use of several research methods such as: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, abduction, qualitative research. In conclusion, we note that business strategies in the field of tourism contribute beneficially to companies in order to ensure sustainable sustainability, but also to identify certain opportunities and threats that may appear on the market and that can be exploited by companies. Innovation is analyzed as a fundamental source in achieving sustainnability given the importance of the innovation process in a higher education institution and the multiple benefits generated by the innovation process. Higher education institutions being true centers for creating new ideas, methods and techniques, require a continuous innovative process, which would ensure their sustainability and competitiveness. Innovation being a creative process is perfectly assimilated with higher education institutions contributing to achieving sustainability. The purpose of this research is to conduct a theoretical-methodological retrospective of innovation as a source of achieving sustainability in higher education. The research methods used are: analyze, synthesis, induction, deduction, empirical research, qualitative research. In conclusion, we can mention that a higher education institution that claims to be competitive is obliged to innovate, generate and implement new ideas and methods that would help it achieve sustainability.
