National projections of fruit and vegetable availability to 2050 under a range of socioeconomic scenarios from the IMPACT model

National projections of fruit and vegetable availability to 2050 under a range of socioeconomic scenarios from the IMPACT model

Abstract

National historical and projected fruit and vegetable availability used in Mason-D'Croz et al. (2019) . The projections come from IFPRI's IMPACT model (Robinson et al. 2015) using the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs) 1-3 (Riahi et al. 2017). This excel file contains the raw data used in Mason-D'Croz et al. (2019), and includes historical (from FAO 2018) and projected per capita fruit and vegetable availability (2010-2050) in grams per capita per day. The file also summarizes scenario population (in millions), age adjusted WHO recommendation of fruit and vegetable consumption (g/person/day), and assumed FAO waste rates (Gustavsson et al. 2013). Tableau visualization is available both in desktop version, and online on the Tableau Public Server at: https://public.tableau.com/views/VisualizationSupplementforMason-DCrozetal_2019/Figure1-OnlineVersion?:embed=y&:display_count=yes&:origin=viz_share_link.
