In several experiments the kinetics and questionable mutial influences of Methanol, Propanol-1 and Isobutanol were examined while Ethanol was present. II. In five different experiments 30 persons got separate congeners (7 mg Methanol/kg body weight, 5 mg Propanol-1/kg body weight, 5 mg Isobutanol/kg body weight) with 0.8 g Ethanol/kg body weight. The times of drinking took both 30 and 60 minutes. Blood samples were taken partly half hourly, partly every quarter of an hour while the experiments took 4 to 9.5 hours. III. Apart from shown exceptions the curves of the Ethanol concentrations during the phases of elimination showed the familiar linear slope, whereas the corresponding Methanol concentrations went up on average of 0.17 mg/kg/hour. Propanol-1 as well as Isobutanol took exponential courses in their phases of elimination. The corresponding results have been shown and discussed in detail.

Motivated by an application example, the comfort zone for mobile kinematically redundant manipulators is defined. The position and orientation of the mobile platform (=base of the manipulator) and the joint angles are selected in such a way that selected target functions are minimized. These objective functions are derived from known measures such as Cartesian velocity, force and stiffness. The objective functions are evaluated depending on the parameters of the base and the joint angles of the manipulator, whereby only a subspace of possible configurations is freely selectable for optimization due to the given position and orientation of the end effector (EE). Pareto-fronts are calculated in the sense of multi-criteria optimization, which are limited by, e.g., minimum achievable force or minimum achievable speed. Already low dosis of alcohol damage gastric mucosa; alcohol especially causes erosions. In spite of acute damage there is no proven correlation between alcohol and chronic gastritis. HC1 secretion is stimulated by low dosis of alcohol only; higher dosis have no effect on acid secretion. Nevertheless beer or wine stimulate acid secretion very intensively by gastrin liberation. -Low concentrations of alcohol have no influence on gastric emptying, but higher concentrations delay emptying, solid meals more than liquid meals.

An interview about maternal alcohol consumption was performed prenatally--when IUGR was diagnosed by ultrasound--or postnatally. The children were followed up to 18 months of age. In 6/47 children we diagnosed various degrees of the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome FAS, with only one patient showing a full blown syndrome at birth. 5 patients could not be identified until the pediatric reexamination at the age of 8-18 months. IUGR and a maternal history of even moderate drinking during pregnancy should emphasize the possibility of an intrauterine alcohol damage, even in a normal child at birth.

An insufficient supply with protein leads to lowered maximum activities, but we could not estimate a correlation between EGOT+ and protein-intake when adequate. Influences of oral contraceptives as well an enzyme induction caused by long-term high vitamin B6-uptake can not confidently be excluded. Specific differences between the enzyme activities of men and women are scarcely probable. EGOT+ and EGOT- are lowered by chronic alcohol abuse. A short-term load with alcohol does not change the results. Oral contraceptives as well as the vitamin B2 status have little if any influence on the enzyme activities. Our results show, that because of the various possible influences a single determination of the alpha-value is a doubtfull parameter to assess the vitamin B6 status of men. Only the observation of the alteration of the individual alpha-value during deficiency and substitution tests, considering at the same time some essential incidentals, can lead to well-founded statements.

For further information contact us at helpdesk@openaire.eudescription Publicationkeyboard_double_arrow_right Article 1982Some factors, which are primary independent of the vitamin B6-uptake have influence on the maximum and/or the basis activity of the EGOT and thereby finally on the alpha-value. There is a negative correlation between the age of the test persons and both the maximum and the basis activity.
