description Publicationkeyboard_double_arrow_right Article , Journal 2019Publisher:Elsevier BV Qi Zhang; Hailong Li; Boyu Liu; Yanyan Tang; Yaoming Li;Abstract In order to further promote the development of the new energy vehicle industry, Parallel Management regulation for corporate average fuel consumption and new energy vehicle credits for passenger vehicles (dual-credit scheme) have been proposed by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in September 2017. This study attempted to investigate the impact of dual-credit scheme on the penetration of new energy vehicles and the short-term strategies of the automotive industry. For this purpose, a market analysis model is proposed based on game theory and the credit market equilibrium to quantify the effects of the credit trading mechanism. Four categories of automakers are considered. The obtained results show that: (i) The dual-credit scheme is indeed an effective policy solution that enables the expansion of the volume of NEV market. (ii) The dual-credit scheme can accelerate the elimination of outdated technologies with lower driving mileage, and it can also promote the adoption of technologies with longer driving mileage. (iii) The dual-credit scheme allows all automakers to achieve their targets in a market efficient manner.

One of the key issues for sustainable development is the generation of electricity with more use of renewable sources and, therefore, less environmental degradation. In this scenario, historically, Paraná State of Brazil has been one of the largest producers of electricity in the country, almost entirely from hydraulic source, due to the large existing river basin in the state. However, the use of this source in Brazil is declining due to depletion of water potential and also the pressure of society with respect to environmental, social and economic impacts caused by damming of rivers and flooding of cities and areas to form large reservoirs. To overcome these limitations, other sources have been studied and used, such as biomass and wind. Photovoltaic generation has been contemplated in Brazilian government policies only to supply electricity with off-grid systems in remote locations. However, due to the recent Resolution 482/2012 of ANEEL (Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency), which establishes rules for micro and mini-generation of electricity, it is possible that consumers install grid connected photovoltaic systems up to 1 MWp, as have been widely used in the urban environment installed or integrated on roofs as a form of distributed generation, particularly in Europe, where counts with installed capacity in GW range, while in Brazil it counts only with a few MW. Given this new perspective of growth of the Brazilian photovoltaic electricity generation this paper presents the potential of solar photovoltaic power generation in Paraná State, Brazil, with a comparative analysis with the potential presented by some European countries. The presented solar and photovoltaic maps uses irradiation data obtained from SWERA project (Solar and Wind Energy Resources Assessment), which was coordinated in Brazil by National Institute for Space Research (INPE). The results of this analysis can contribute to development of public policies related to projects and researches in photovoltaic aiming to spread the use of this renewable energy source in Paraná.

However, not many studies focus on an assessment of business environment of power generation and might deter unfamiliar investors from venture. Therefore, we assessed the relative attractiveness of power generation investment in this region in five aspects: economy, business, risk, infrastructure, and finance, which were taken up from the framework of the Global Infrastructure Investment Index. The assessment can provide an overview of strengths and weaknesses of power generation investment and serve as guidelines for investment decisions and policy making to investors and government in each ASEAN country.

Nadjemi;AbstractIncrease in energy demand has made the renewable resources more attractive. Representing the largest sources of renewable energy, Solar and wind systems are expanding due to the rapid depletion of fossil fuel resources and the growing evidence of the global warming phenomena. This study aims to investigate the techno-economic impacts of a hybrid grid connected PV/wind energy system applied for a medium cattle farm in the north part of Algerian desert. The target location is a medium farm of 20 dairy cows in Ghardaia city, with the total annual electrical energy consumption of 6.716kWh, and a peak demand of about 7.7kW. The system is optimized using the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL) HOMER software according to the net present cost (NPC) value. Furthermore, three scenarios are proposed to assess the system configuration according to its impact on both technical and economic balance of the farm. It is found that under the specific climatic conditions of the studied location, the three optimized systems satisfy the typical farm load of 18kWh per day. The second scenario optimized system meets the requirement of paying back the total costs of system investment during the system's lifetime and the third scenario optimized system enhances the grid reliability by decreasing the power grid peak load by 70kW and feeding to the grid 119MWh annually.

The result shows the significant spatial autocorrelation of energy consumption and air pollution in the “2+26” cities. The increase in economic output of neighbouring cities will bring about economic radiation and promote the economic output of the city, which provides strong evidence for the necessity of joint prevention and control policy. Further considering effects of the inputs of neighbouring cities, the paper finds that the driving force of economic increase mainly came from the capital and energy input of the city itself, as well as the air pollution dividends of neighbouring cities. Therefore, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and its surrounding areas should make the best of the resource advantages of neighbouring cities to achieve complementarity and coordinated development. Governments should construct comprehensive cross-city air pollution prevention mechanism, such as regional air pollution compensation mechanism and fund for air pollution joint control.

Currently, the gap of per capita income between rural and urban areas in China is fifteen years, and employment quota of city service sector surpassed fifty percent fifteen years ago. However, the employment quota of the rural service sector in 2009 was less than ten percent. The reason may be the dispersive distribution of the rural population, such as the construction of immigrating towns Three Gorges Project, the construction of towns by canceling villages in Hei Longjiang Province, the group together of the southeast coastal industry. This thesis analyzes the promotion effect of people gathering on the development of service sector with the tool of building models and proposes that developing service sector is a low-carbon path for the economic development.

Based on theories and models of TEF, this paper calculated TEF, TEC, and TECC in Yellow Crane Tower scenic spot. In 2008, TEF per capita was 0.0570hm2, footprint of transportation and waste were large, occupied 55.89% and 33.20% respectively. TEC of Yellow Crane Tower was 108.45hm2 in 2008 and it will be 176.80hm2 in 2012. Therefore, TECC was 3 804 tourists per day and it will be 6 204 tourists per day in 2012. Actually, TECC reached 3 354 tourists per day in 2008, which showed that tourists were under Carrying Capacity, but it is in vigilant situation of sustainable development. Finally, this paper put forward some suggestions on tourism sustainable development in Yellow Crane Tower.

This study attempted to investigate the impact of dual-credit scheme on the penetration of new energy vehicles and the short-term strategies of the automotive industry. For this purpose, a market analysis model is proposed based on game theory and the credit market equilibrium to quantify the effects of the credit trading mechanism. Four categories of automakers are considered. The obtained results show that: (i) The dual-credit scheme is indeed an effective policy solution that enables the expansion of the volume of NEV market. (ii) The dual-credit scheme can accelerate the elimination of outdated technologies with lower driving mileage, and it can also promote the adoption of technologies with longer driving mileage. (iii) The dual-credit scheme allows all automakers to achieve their targets in a market efficient manner.

One of the key issues for sustainable development is the generation of electricity with more use of renewable sources and, therefore, less environmental degradation. In this scenario, historically, Paraná State of Brazil has been one of the largest producers of electricity in the country, almost entirely from hydraulic source, due to the large existing river basin in the state. However, the use of this source in Brazil is declining due to depletion of water potential and also the pressure of society with respect to environmental, social and economic impacts caused by damming of rivers and flooding of cities and areas to form large reservoirs. To overcome these limitations, other sources have been studied and used, such as biomass and wind. Photovoltaic generation has been contemplated in Brazilian government policies only to supply electricity with off-grid systems in remote locations. However, due to the recent Resolution 482/2012 of ANEEL (Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency), which establishes rules for micro and mini-generation of electricity, it is possible that consumers install grid connected photovoltaic systems up to 1 MWp, as have been widely used in the urban environment installed or integrated on roofs as a form of distributed generation, particularly in Europe, where counts with installed capacity in GW range, while in Brazil it counts only with a few MW. Given this new perspective of growth of the Brazilian photovoltaic electricity generation this paper presents the potential of solar photovoltaic power generation in Paraná State, Brazil, with a comparative analysis with the potential presented by some European countries. The presented solar and photovoltaic maps uses irradiation data obtained from SWERA project (Solar and Wind Energy Resources Assessment), which was coordinated in Brazil by National Institute for Space Research (INPE). The results of this analysis can contribute to development of public policies related to projects and researches in photovoltaic aiming to spread the use of this renewable energy source in Paraná.

Representing the largest sources of renewable energy, Solar and wind systems are expanding due to the rapid depletion of fossil fuel resources and the growing evidence of the global warming phenomena. This study aims to investigate the techno-economic impacts of a hybrid grid connected PV/wind energy system applied for a medium cattle farm in the north part of Algerian desert. The target location is a medium farm of 20 dairy cows in Ghardaia city, with the total annual electrical energy consumption of 6.716kWh, and a peak demand of about 7.7kW. The system is optimized using the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL) HOMER software according to the net present cost (NPC) value. Furthermore, three scenarios are proposed to assess the system configuration according to its impact on both technical and economic balance of the farm. It is found that under the specific climatic conditions of the studied location, the three optimized systems satisfy the typical farm load of 18kWh per day. The second scenario optimized system meets the requirement of paying back the total costs of system investment during the system's lifetime and the third scenario optimized system enhances the grid reliability by decreasing the power grid peak load by 70kW and feeding to the grid 119MWh annually.

The result shows the significant spatial autocorrelation of energy consumption and air pollution in the “2+26” cities. The increase in economic output of neighbouring cities will bring about economic radiation and promote the economic output of the city, which provides strong evidence for the necessity of joint prevention and control policy. Further considering effects of the inputs of neighbouring cities, the paper finds that the driving force of economic increase mainly came from the capital and energy input of the city itself, as well as the air pollution dividends of neighbouring cities. Therefore, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and its surrounding areas should make the best of the resource advantages of neighbouring cities to achieve complementarity and coordinated development. Governments should construct comprehensive cross-city air pollution prevention mechanism, such as regional air pollution compensation mechanism and fund for air pollution joint control.

The reason may be the dispersive distribution of the rural population, such as the construction of immigrating towns Three Gorges Project, the construction of towns by canceling villages in Hei Longjiang Province, the group together of the southeast coastal industry. This thesis analyzes the promotion effect of people gathering on the development of service sector with the tool of building models and proposes that developing service sector is a low-carbon path for the economic development.

Based on theories and models of TEF, this paper calculated TEF, TEC, and TECC in Yellow Crane Tower scenic spot. In 2008, TEF per capita was 0.0570hm2, footprint of transportation and waste were large, occupied 55.89% and 33.20% respectively. TEC of Yellow Crane Tower was 108.45hm2 in 2008 and it will be 176.80hm2 in 2012. Therefore, TECC was 3 804 tourists per day and it will be 6 204 tourists per day in 2012. Actually, TECC reached 3 354 tourists per day in 2008, which showed that tourists were under Carrying Capacity, but it is in vigilant situation of sustainable development. Finally, this paper put forward some suggestions on tourism sustainable development in Yellow Crane Tower.
