Partnerships in global health stand in an important position when discussing global health. During the 5th National Congress of Tropical Medicine, some central themes in this area were discussed: research, implementation and funding. This paper aims to reflect upon each theme, highlighting the most relevant aspects for the future and present of global health partnerships. It is based on the various presentations and the ensuing discussion, also relying on a literature review on the referred three central themes. Global health partnerships aim to reverse and overcome the North/South asymmetries at different levels: training, access, knowledge, funding, research, education and science development; contributing towards the construction of a knowledge-based society, aiming at sustainable development and universal health coverage. These partnerships are increasingly understood as critical to attaining all SDGs, but there is also the need to ensure that they do not harm any of the stakeholders. They must be balanced and symmetrical, reflecting the interests of all parties involved, fostering the inclusion of all partners in every stage. Therefore, partnerships in global health may be truly effective, leading to innovative ways of articulation, implementation and funding. publishersversion published

    Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado em Ensino de Geografia no 3º ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário apresentado à Faculdade de Letras O presente relatório de estágio visa apresentar uma análise e reflexão das atividades letivas e extralectivas ao longo do Estágio Pedagógico Supervisionado, desenvolvido na Escola Secundária Dr.ª Maria Cândida, em Mira, durante o ano letivo 2020/2021. Além disso, pretendo efetuar uma reflexão da aplicação da estratégia didático-pedagógica, neste caso concreto a Aplicação dos Media na Educação Geográfica e Ambiental, caso específico do Jornal aplicado ao tema das Alterações Climáticas. O relatório está dividido em três partes. A primeira parte, onde é feita a descrição geral da escola, acompanhado do enquadramento geográfico, turma, núcleo de estágio e das atividades realizadas ao longo do estágio. A segunda parte, está direcionada para a reflexão teórica e científica associada ao tema da aplicação didática.O tema da componente científica é as Alterações Climáticas e os seus impactos na saúde humana, assim como o surgimento ou ressurgimento de doenças parasitárias na Europa. Na terceira parte é apresentada a estratégia didática, o jornal realizado pelos alunos, acompanhado dos resultados obtidos ao inquérito realizado aos professores do agrupamento e aos alunos sobre o mesmo. Neste capítulo também se encontra uma reflexão sobre o ensino à distância e os impactos na aprendizagem tanto nos professores como alunos. Os objetivos propostos para esta estratégia foram positivos, uma vez que obtive o feedback desejado por parte dos alunos, assim como toda a dedicação na construção do jornal. This internship report aims to present an analysis and reflection of teaching and extralegal activities throughout the Supervised Pedagogical Internship, developed in Escola Secundária Dr. ª Maria Cândida, in Mira, during the school year 2020/2021. In addition, I intend to reflect on the application of didactic-pedagogical strategy, in this specific case the Application of Media in Geographic and Environmental Education, the specific case of the newspaper applied to the theme of Climate Change.The report is divided in three parts. The first part, where the general description of the school is made, accompanied by the geographic framing, class, internship nucleus and the activities carried out throughout the internship. The second part is directed towards the theoretical and scientific reflection associated with the theme of didactic application. The theme of the scientific component is Climate Change and its impacts on human health, as well as the emergence or resurgence of parasitic diseases in Europe.In the third part, the didactic strategy is presented, the newspaper made by the students, accompanied by the results obtained from the survey carried out to the teachers of the grouping and to the students about it. In this chapter there is also a reflection on distance learning and the impacts on learning for both teachers and students. The objectives proposed for this strategy were positive, since I obtained the desired feedback from the students, as well as all the dedication in the construction of the newspaper.

    Hospital structures within a historical analysis have always reflected the society where they were inserted, not only in aspects of scientific development with the use of medical knowledge for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, where we can say that it would be the larger objective of this establishment, but Also in issues as debated and studied today, as the availability and use of the territory where they are inserted, thus relating as the value that is given to natural resources, both in the design of spaces as well as in their use and maintenance, attitudes that are linked To a sustainable posture. The objective of this article is to discuss, in a local aspect, the relation of the use of the territory in a microscale vision of the process of growth of an EAS (Health Care Establishment), having as object of study a hospital that was built in the 1950 in a municipality in the metropolitan region of Curitiba that for almost 70 years its growth has not undergone planning, consequently a widespread obsolescence of its built spaces, as well as the availability for its future physical organization. Introdução: Nas últimas décadas, países e sistemas de saúde têm vindo a dedicar atenção crescente a práticas de planeamento que promovam o desenvolvimento sustentável. Reconhecendo os desafios específicos que se colocam ao planeamento em saúde, este artigo tem por objetivo contribuir para a reflexão sobre o conceito e características processuais e metodológicas do planeamento sustentável em saúde, com base nas principais mensagens recolhidas num painel de discussão do 5º Congresso Nacional de Medicina Tropical. .Material e métodos: Foram utilizadas as apresentações dos oradores convidados para o painel e as intervenções do debate. Complementar-mente, foram utilizadas fontes documentais resultantes de uma revisão narrativa da literatura. Todo o material foi sujeito a análise documental. Resultados e discussão: As abordagens participativas do planeamento em saúde, que integram a participação dos cidadãos e a articulação intersectorial, com particular enfoque na redução das iniquidades em saúde e no alcance da cobertura universal, foram consideradas entre as mais efetivas para o alcance de objetivos de saúde e de bem-estar alinhados com os princípios do desenvolvimento sustentável. Conclusão: A mobilização social e das comunidades no processo de planeamento em saúde parece ser facilitador da seleção e implementação de estratégias de saúde no contexto do desenvolvimento sustentável. Introduction: In recent decades, countries and health systems have been paying increasing attention to planning practice for sustainable development. Recognizing the specific challenges facing health planning, this article aims to contribute to the reflection on the concept and procedural and methodological characteristics of sustainable health planning, based on the main messages gathered in a panel discussion of the 5th National Congress of Tropical Medicine. Material and methods: We used the panel presentations and discussion interventions, in addition with documentary sources resulting from a narrative literature review. All material was subject to documentary analysis. Results and discussion: Participatory approaches to health planning, integrating community participation and intersectoral action, with a particular focus on reducing health inequities and achieving universal coverage, were considered to be among the most effective to achieve health and well-being goals aligned with the principles of sustainable development. Conclusion: Social and community mobilization in the health planning process seems to contribute to the selection and implementation of health strategies in the context of sustainable development. publishersversion published

    O presente trabalho enquadra-se no papel cada vez mais relevante da sustentabilidade ambiental no subsetor hoteleiro. Neste estudo, centrado na realidade portuguesa, mais concretamente na região de Lisboa, pretendeu-se posicionar o comportamento do consumidor no setor hoteleiro e como é perspetivado o futuro da sustentabilidade ambiental nos hotéis portugueses. As alterações climáticas têm-se vindo a fazer notar cada vez mais e a indústria hoteleira tem-se vindo a tornar cada vez mais responsável. Através da elaboração e aplicação de um inquérito por questionário sobre o tema, os principais resultados indicam que de uma forma geral existe preocupação com a sustentabilidade ambiental, apesar ser mais notada a sua prática e preocupação entre os mais jovens, afigurando-se, assim, um cenário otimista para o futuro das práticas da sustentabilidade ambiental na área do turismo. Resumo: As pilhas a combustível de óxido sólido (SOFC) têm um horizonte muito promissor graças ao uso de hidrogênio e outros combustíveis menos poluentes, eficiência alta devido à temperatura de operação ser acima de 800ºC e sua vasta gama de aplicações, desde alguns quilowatts até centenas de megawatts. Um dos seus componentes mais importantes é o eletrólito, que cumpre o papel de fazer a condução dos íons O2- do cátodo para o ânodo e fazer ainda a separação física entre os eletrodos. No estudo das SOFCs há dois materiais de grande interesse para uso como eletrólitos: a zircônia dopada com ítria (YSZ) e a céria dopada com gadolínia (CGO). Neste trabalho se busca otimizar as propriedades condutoras e mecânicas destes materiais. Sinterizaram-se amostras destes dois materiais e para as análises utilizou-se MEV ao se avaliar as microestruturas e mensurá-las, e também espectroscopia de impedâncias para a medição do comportamento condutivo. A YSZ é o material mais estudado para eletrólitos em SOFCs, dada sua alta condutividade iônica a temperaturas acima de 800ºC e sua resistência mecânica. Neste trabalho sinterizou-se uma amostra de YSZ a partir de prensagem a quente, diminuindo a temperatura de 1500ºC para 1200ºC e utilizando uma pressão de 65 MPa. A amostra apresentou satisfatória densificação, condutividade semelhante à amostra de referência, porém sua condutividade nos contornos de grão foi inferior à referência. Quanto à CGO, este é um dos materiais mais cotados para se tornar o eletrólito para as SOFCs de temperatura intermediária, entre 500ºC-700ºC, já que nessa temperatura possui condutividade iônica maior do que a YSZ. O objetivo é sinterizar amostras de CGO com dopagem heterogênea, adicionando pequenas quantidades de céria e gadolínia. Verificou-se que os aditivos, tanto a céria quanto a gadolínia, migraram para os contornos de grão e modificaram sobremaneira os valores de condução iônica e em alguns casos até o mecanismo de condução Abstract: The solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) has a very promising horizon due to the use of hydrogen and other cleaner fuels, efficiency due to high operating temperature, above 800°C and its wide range of uses, from a few kilowatts to hundreds of megawatts. One of its most important components is the electrolyte, as its role is the conductor of O2- ions from the cathode to the anode and to separate physically the electrodes. In the study of SOFC there are two materials with large interest for use in electrolytes: yttria doped zirconia (YSZ) and ceria doped with gadolinia (CGO). This paper seeks to optimize mechanical and conductive properties of these materials. Some samples were sintered for each one of the two materials and SEM analysis was used to evaluate the microstructures and measure them, and impedance spectroscopy for the measurement conductive behavior. The YSZ is the most studied material for electrolytes in SOFC, due to its high ionic conductivity at temperatures above 800°C and mechanical strength; this paper will attempt to densify a sample of YSZ using hot pressing, reducing the temperature of 1500°C to 1200ºC and with a pressure of 65 MPa. The sample had a satisfactory densification, and its conductivity was similar to reference sample, but its conductivity at the grain boundaries was lower than the reference. The CGO is one of the most-quoted to become the electrolyte for intermediate temperature SOFC, between 500ºC-700°C, because in this temperature CGO has higher ionic conductivity than YSZ. This paper aims to sinter samples of CGO heterogeneous doping, adding small amounts of ceria and gadolinia. It was found that the additives, both as ceria and gadolinia, migrated to the grain boundary and changed greatly the values of ion conduction and in some cases the conducting mechanism Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Engenharia Química Orientadores: Wagner dos Santos Oliveira, João Carlos Castro Abrantes Ciência e Tecnologia de Materiais Mestre em Engenharia Química Mestrado

    Um dos factores que contribui para a baixa sensibilidade da citologia urinária é a fixação em etanol. Neste trabalho foi avaliada a citomorfologia e as características tintoriais de lavados vesicais fixados pelo FineFIX® ou pelo RCL2® comparativamente aos fixados pelo etanol. A análise dos achados microscópicos revelou que as preparações fixadas pelo RCL2® apresentam qualidade inferior (p=0,001), enquanto as fixadas pelo FineFIX® apresentam qualidade semelhante às fixadas pelo etanol (p=0,204). Relativamente às características nucleares, o FineFIX® providencia qualidade superior ao etanol (p=0,027). O FineFIX® é um potencial fixador citológico por aumentar o detalhe nuclear, característica importante para o diagnóstico. One of the factors that contribute to the low sensitivity of the urinary cytology is fixation by ethanol. We evaluated the morphology and cytological dyeing features of bladder washings fixed by FineFIX® or by RCL2® compared to fixed by ethanol. The analysis of microscopic findings showed that preparations fixed by RCL2® present lower quality (p=0,001), while preparations fixed by FineFIX® present quality similar to those fixed by ethanol (p=0,204). With respect to nuclear characteristics, the FineFIX® provides higher quality than ethanol (p=0,027). The FineFIX® is a potential fixative for cytology by increase the nuclear detail, an important feature for diagnosis.

    Authors: Santos, Ana Beatriz de Almeida;

    A presente tese de mestrado visa a compreensão do impacto do turismo massificado e da sustentabilidade no setor da reabilitação de edifícios na freguesia de Cedofeita, localizada na cidade do Porto, entre o período de 2015 e 2020. Em uma primeira fase, destacou-se a importância da compreensão dos conceitos internacionais de conservação, reabilitação e restauro de forma a obter um bom alicerce para compreender como tem sido feita a reabilitação de edifícios históricos e de edifícios comuns. Diante do cenário apresentado, o objetivo geral desta investigação é apresentar uma leitura integrada dos tópicos que envolvem a reabilitação, o turismo de massas e a sustentabilidade. A partir desse cenário, abordou-se a reabilitação urbana predominante em uma das maiores cidades portuguesas, o Porto. Em uma primeira fase, analisou-se o impacto negativo e positivo do turismo massificado no Porto entre 2015 e 2020, ocasionando os fenômenos da turistificação e aceleração da gentrificação. Salientou-se a relação do turismo com a reabilitação e de como os reflexos desta união afetam a economia. O setor imobiliário a longo, médio e curto prazo assumiu grande importância no contexto turístico. Devido a esse fator, empresas como o Airbnb, que pertence ao ramo do alojamento, e a Idealista, que pertence ao setor imobiliário, ganharam maior evidência no setor imobiliário habitacional portuense. Em um segundo momento, a pesquisa teve como foco a análise do impacto da situação pandémica provocada pelo COVID-19, tendo como base especificamente os edifícios históricos e comuns reabilitados na região de Cedofeita. Empresas como a Remax e a Era já existiam independentemente do turismo, mas também contribuíram com o crescimento do setor imobiliário. Relata-se também o impacto da pandemia COVID-19 no ano de 2020 e 2021 que afetou o turismo de forma extraordinária e sem precedentes. Posteriormente, propõe-se uma reflexão sobre a implementação da sustentabilidade na reabilitação edilícia no contexto específico do Porto. Os países pertencentes à União Europeia, em 2019, assinaram o Pacto Ecológico Europeu que visa atingir a neutralidade carbônica até 2050. Face ao acordo, estão sendo elaboradas medidas específicas em cada país de forma a atingir o objetivo. Nesta etapa foi apontado o conceito de Economia Circular e os seus efeitos na economia portuguesa, bem como as vantagens da implementação da tecnologia BIM aplicada à sustentabilidade edilícia. O BIM é uma tecnologia que contribuído com o alcance da sustentabilidade na reabilitação de edifícios do Porto. A fim de que seja proposta uma análise dos edifícios reabilitados no Porto, foi feito um recorte geográfico e temporal, tendo-se selecionado os edifícios pertencentes à freguesia de Cedofeita, reabilitados de 2015 a 2020 como caso de estudo. This master's thesis aims to understand the impact of mass tourism and sustainability in the sector of rehabilitation of buildings in the parish of Cedofeita, located in the city of Porto, between 2015 and 2020. In a first stage we tried to highlight the understanding of international concepts of conservation, rehabilitation and restoration in order to obtain a good basis to identify how the rehabilitation of historic buildings and common buildings has been carried out. Given the scenario presented, the general objective of this investigation is to outline an integrated reading of the topics that involve rehabilitation, mass tourism and sustainability. Accordingly, an approach to the predominant urban rehabilitation in one of the largest Portuguese citie as Porto, was made In a first phase the negative and positive impact of mass tourism causing the phenomena of touristification and acceleration of gentrification, in Porto, between 2015 and 2020 was analyzed, The relationship between tourism and rehabilitation was highlighted as the effects of the gathering of these two issues affect the economy. The long, medium and short term real estate sector has assumed great importance in the tourism context. Due to this factor, companies such as Airbnb, which belongs to the accommodation sector, and Idealista, which belongs to the real estate sector, gained greater evidence in the Porto housing real estate sector. In a second moment, the research focused on analyzing the impact of the pandemic situation caused by COVID-19, specifically based on the historic and common buildings rehabilitated in the Cedofeita region. Companies like Remax and Era already existed independently of mass tourism, but they also contributed to the growth of the real estate sector. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the year 2020 and 2021 is also reported, as a factor that affected tourism in an extraordinary and unprecedented way. Subsequently, a reflection on the implementation of sustainability in building rehabilitation in the specific context of Porto is proposed. The countries belonging to the European Union, in 2019, signed the European Ecological Pact, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. In view of the agreement, specific measures are being prepared in each country in order to achieve the goal. At this stage, the concept of the Circular Economy and its effects on the Portuguese economy were pointed out, as well as the advantages of implementing BIM technology applied to building sustainability. BIM is a technology that has contributed to achieving sustainability in the rehabilitation of buildings in Porto. In order to propose an analysis of the rehabilitated buildings in Porto, a geographical and temporal framework was made, having selected the buildings belonging to the parish of Cedofeita, rehabilitated from 2015 to 2020 as a case study.

    Objective: knowing the risk factors may help in the elaboration of counseling programs for pregnant women and better conduct for health professionals, mainly due to the fact that their use is often concealed, making it difficult to follow. Data sourse: this systematic review study searched the Bireme, Scielo, PubMed, Lilacs and Site Up to Date databases. The selection took into account the titles and abstracts related to the subject, from 2010 to 2017, using the descriptors alcohol / ethanol, pregnancy / pregnancy and fetal development / fetal morphology. We found 70 articles, of these were selected 35, the most recent and high theoretical content required for the construction of the text. Data synthesis: through this analysis, we observed the need for early identification of alcohol consumption in pregnancy, not only the maternal report. Conclusions: therefore, new research in the area is necessary for better prevention and adaptation of the patient after a diagnosis of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and to adopt prophylactic measures in order to protect the fetus and pregnant women, contributing to the improvement of public health

    As parcerias em saúde global ocupam um importante lugar na discussão da saúde global. Durante o 5º Congresso Nacional de Medicina Tropical foram discutidos alguns pontos centrais desta área: investigação, implementação e financiamento. O objetivo deste artigo é, com base nas ideias apresentadas e do debate gerado, refletir sobre cada um dos temas, sobressaindo os aspetos mais relevantes para a atualidade e futuro das parcerias em saúde global. O artigo tem por base as apresentações, a discussão gerada e a revisão bibliográfica sobre as três temáticas centrais referidas. As parcerias em saúde global pretendem reverter e superar as assimetrias Norte/Sul em diversos níveis: capacitação, acesso, conhecimento, financiamento, investigação, ensino e desenvolvimento de ciência; contribuindo para a construção de uma sociedade baseada no conhecimento e com vista ao desenvolvimento sustentável e cobertura universal em saúde. Estas parcerias são crescentemente reconhecidas como um elemento fundamental para alcançar os ODS, existindo, no entanto, a necessidade de assegurar que não prejudicam nenhum dos intervenientes. Devem ser equilibradas e simétricas, espelhando os interesses de todas as partes envolvidas, reforçando as capacidades existentes e prezando pela transparência e inclusão de todos os parceiros em todas as fases. Assim, as parcerias em saúde global poderão ser verdadeiramente efetivas, levando a novas formas de articulação, implementação e financiamento.

    Authors: Santos, Ana Beatriz de Almeida;
